Helly Hansen pant - sizing?

Anyone familiar with the sizing for the Helly Hansen pant?

In particular, the Helly Hansen Sutton pant.

The online chat "dude" at backcountry.com said they have a very good return/exchange policy. If they don't fit (which at this point, they only have an XL), he said I can return them and I pay for the shipping.

Well, according to the review, they're sized kind of big. The girl said she normally wears a large and was swimming in a medium. Hmmmm.... I have their base layer pants in a large and I am 186ish and 5'5" and they fit perfectly. Not sure how that will help in sizing these pants, but I was surprised about the large fitting so well. Granted, it's a base layer pant. But maybe that gives some insight as to the sizing...

Backcountry.com does have an excellent return policy. We've had great luck with their customer service, too!

I did read the review also. Sounds like they run a bit roomy.

I'm trying to decide now between a few pants, including TNF freedom pant.

This is my first time ordering from backcountry.com. How fast do they send out the email regarding your purchase? It's been about 2 hours since I placed the order.

Usually they send an order confirmation immediately, followed by a shipping notice when it ships (usually within 24 hrs of ordering). Sometimes the emails get sidetracked... but if you go to their site and login, you should be able to see your order in the history. I have some issues getting tramdock emails, but usually, BC and SAC are immediate.

My order status says, "pending." I'm assuming because I ordered on a Sunday? Will have to check tomorrow on an update.

HH pants are big and they run super long too. I got what I thought was my size and they are almost unwearable. Sucks too because I can't return them either.

Backcountry.com is the $h*@!!! I love that site.

Ah, wonderful. That's alright, though. Best I can do is try them on, if they fit, perfect. If they don't fit, back they go
