As expected, spring conditions: hardpack, some ice on NV side, some soft "sorbet" on CA side, and some firmer snow, as well. Most trails & lifts were open. Vail Resorts is not distributing trail maps this year - you are expected to download a map on your phone. Of course I got lost - twice! - trying to get to the Dipper Chair on the NV side. Involved a bid of uphill climbing but I eventually made my way to the CA side that I really enjoy, over near "Mombo."
Left mid-afternoon as I usually do, but this time the winds had really whipped up and riding the lifts was getting a tad scary!
Opted to only ski 1 day of that trip based on conditions & fact that I used up my days on my EPIC pass; plus there was a hike I really wanted to do - Van Sickle Bi-State Park. Really worthwhile hike if you are staying in the area. Actually there are SO many great hiking trails in Tahoe, it's tough to choose just one!

Van Sickle a great hike in the summer..... must be covered with snow now ?
Going to Heavenly next Monday for 5 days........ hopefully conditions will hold up. At least Heavenly summit is 10k so snow usually good up high.

I hope you have good conditions,, too Yes!

Yes, it was snowy/icy on the hiking trail, so I wore traction cleats on my hiking boots and had the spike tips on the hiking poles.
I filmed sections of the hike, starting here:
