Two years ago today, September 4th, TheSkiDiva.com launched it's magic onto the world wide web creating this wonderful community of Divas to share in the love that brings us together, the sport of skiing.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank our fearless leader, Wendy, for putting her dream into action and giving us this gift. Wendy, you are inspiring! And thank you to all the Divas who contribute so much knowledge, insight, fun and friendship to this community because without you this site would not succeed.

So, everyone grab a glass and let's toast to many, many years to come for TheSkiDiva.com!

Yep, it's true. We've been around for two years now.

Time flies when you're having fun.

The site began with a very simple idea -- to give women a place to connect with other women who love to ski. I didn't know any other women who skied, but I was pretty sure you were out there. Now, nearly 1,000 members later, it's good to see I'm not alone.

Ladies, this site -- and your participation in it -- has meant the world to me. It's been amazing to watch a community develop where there once was none; to see women connect and become friends because of a shared passion and enthusiasm for a spectacular sport. I've learned so much from all of you. And I've made -- and continue to make -- some fabulous friends. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I am constantly in awe of the character, talent, energy, knowledge, and strength of the women who post here.

So a tip of the old ski helmet. Two ski poles up. Here's to the past two years, here's to the future of the site, and here's to all of you.

BTW, in case anyone's interested: our first ten members were Snowbird, Teachski, Lilgeorg, Molly, Tcarey, Snobunny (okay, so she's my daughter. She still counts), Nelsapbm, SnowHot, and Mollmeister.

And the top 10 posters (after me, volume-wise) go to SnowHot, Jilly, Maineskilady, Robyn, Num, Volklgirl, Kiragirl, Pequenita, abc, and ski now work later.

The forum has been such a staple in my internet pokings-around and has had built such an online presence that it's hard to believe it's only been two years. Time flies when you're having fun, eh?

Congrats, Wendy, and on behalf of all the divas, thanks for bringing us together.

First of all, thank you for creating this wonderful site. I remember back to the very first day I joined (which wasn't too long ago...) and having a sense of "OMG" as I was - and still am - the underdog. I knew so little about skiing and I still have a plethora of things to learn.

Not only do I consider this site a pastime, but an inspiration to me and all of the other Divas. I've learned SO much from all of you experts and continue to learn each day I come on the site.

Also, thank you to all of the Mods & Divas who constantly put forth 100% when answering questions and providing advice to us who are new at the sport.

I've been trying to figure out how to respond to all these wonderful posts. While I appreciate the nice things that have been said, it's really all of you who make the site so special.
