Jay Peak has a seasonal lesson program just for girls 7 -12 called Chickadees girls camp. It's an all day program with skiing in the morning, another outdoor activity in the afternoon like show shoeing or nordic in the afternoon. It starts with stretching and ends with an "expression session". Basically a jr version of a women's clinic. I've never seen anything like this before. Does anyone know of something like this at their hill?

There are a few SheJumps events for snowsports that have been happening annually for several years. They are part of the Get The Girls Out! program.

I attended one at Massanutten a while back. Everyone had a lot of fun. Since Massanutten mostly has beginners and intermediates, it was a good fit for getting girls more involved.

Given that this thread about girls on snow is in Family Skiing, seems appropriate to share what a family from Australia is doing in Colorado this winter. This is not the first time a ski trip has been done in the USA for training purposes.

The entire family of four is staying in Fraser so that the tween daughter can train for moguls and park skiing at Winter Park. She and her younger brother are being home schooled. Brother skis great, loves bumps, but isn't into the competitive side of things. Mother is a skier too. Father has an ongoing trip report. It's full of pictures and his observations of living in a ski town. He learned to ski in his 40s. He has a job he can do WFH from a different continent.

Post #15 in the trip report is already Chapter 15. During early season they have done day trips to check out Ikon and Epic resorts within a couple hours drive of Winter Park.
