Gore Blacks?

Heading to Gore over MLK weekend and would love some recommendations for some easier blacks to try as I get to know the mountain. Given where my family’s abilities lie, I usually have to ski blacks alone. There is such a range in black terrain from mountain to mountain, I’m often afraid that I’ll put myself somewhere that is out of my league (I have yet to meet a trail I can’t get myself down, but when I’m alone I get nervous). I frequently ask strangers on chairlifts for recommendations but I figured I’d do some advance planning here and ask you all!

On top I think Hawkeye is a fun easier black not very long. Chatimac next to it is ok too. also on top Open Pit is a shorter black. Stay OFF Rumor on top and don't do FairView aka Scareview just off the gondola. I really liked Sagamore under the burnt ridge lift but you need glide to get over there or it's a lot of skating/walking. Here's to a snowy weekend for you! Have Fun!

It all depends on the conditions! Ask around on the lift to find out where the snow is good and look at what's been groomed.
