This Sunday our very own itri will be participating in her very first olympic distance triathlon!!! She'll be doing an incredible 1500 meter swim, a 42k bike ride (with a 35mph speed limit in one section!) and a 10k run. So let's cheer her on here and send lots and lots of good vibes to her on Sunday morning!

GO, ITRI, GO!!!!!

This from the woman who's currently sporting a broken wrist thanks to a bike accident??? You should SEE the hill I gotta ride! :laughter:

Seriously, though, thank you so much for the good wishes, ladies. It means SO much to me. I'm pretty scared, this is a BIG race and I've been psyching myself out pretty good for the past few weeks! I'm just trying to mentally adjust myself from "compete" mode to "survive and finish" mode! It's going to be slow, it may not be very pretty, but I WILL finish. And then I never have to do another one if I don't want to! :becky:

I'll think of all of you and use your good vibes to help push me up that giant hill on Sunday morning!

Wow, I didn't know it was possible to do such an event -- that the body could do so much in one day! And being a Mom of a young 'un, that's just plain inspiring! Hope it's a great day!

Thanks again for all the well-wishes, ladies! I did it! I finished it! It was fun, it was hard, and it was HOT (pushing 100 and NO shade on the run). I'll try to get a full race report up later tonight! :becky:
