Going to Timberline in late July!

I'm so excited!

Work is sending me to this conference in late July:

So of course I'm staying in Portland over the weekend (July 28 & 29) to try some summer skiing at Timberline! Eeee!

I am super super excited. Has anyone skiied here in the summer? I'm really curious as to how the conditions will be. No matter what the conditions are like, though, it will be awesome to get to make some turns in July. I can't wait! :D

I'm not at the level to ski Timberline in the summer right now, and the reports I've heard from the folks who live there year round (including the wife of the local high school ski coach) is that the lane for non-camp skiers is smallish on Palmer.

But the conditions page has a webcam that you can hook into and check out...and summer is *definitely* the busy season up there!

Definitely for the higher-level intermediate or advanced skier.
