Good Morning America , the ABC morning TV news show, is going to be broadcasting from the top of Killington tomorrow morning. And you know those people who stand around with their goofy signs? Well, I'm going to be one of them. I have a sign all ready that says "I'm a Ski Diva.... TheSkiDiva.com."

The lift starts running to the top at 6AM, and I plan to be on it for when the show starts at 7AM. It runs til 9, so who knows, maybe they'll pan the camera by me for a milli-second or two.

Kiragirl said something in another thread about maybe being there. And Quiver Queen may join me, too. Be sure to look for us!

Swamp Dog, I'm pretty sure it's live so it will be tomorrow morning.

I'll try to catch it when I get up in the morning.

Ski Diva is there, front and center. She's holding her sign in front of her face, but the sign looks great.

Well, since it's only shown here from 6 to 7and I woke up at 6:45 which was too late to see a good shot of the crowd although at the very end they showed a distant shot and there was a yellow sign that looked like our Ski Diva sticker, was that you Wendy?

I am so excited that some of you saw us!!!

Yep, we were there, front and center -- right behind the host and next to the Red Hat Ladies (boy, those women are brutal! It's every man/woman/child/old lady for him- or herself when it came to snagging a good spot and holding up signs, believe me!)

Anyway, Mr. SD and I left our house in the pitch dark at 5:30 AM and got to the Killington gondola at 6. The whole way over I was thinking, 'who in their right mind is going to be there so early on a Sunday morning.' Well, you'd be surprised. There were quite a number of people already on line when we pulled up.

So they started the gondola, we rode up, and everyone funneled into the summit lodge for coffee, donuts, muffins, etc., all laid out free of charge (which for Killington, is a massive deal; ABC must've been footing the bill.) I ran into Quiver Queen and another Diva whom I hadn't met before: Kris240. She saw my sign and came running over to introduce herself. Kris, it was so nice to meet you!

Then everyone hauled outside, and it was a mad scramble to get as close in as possible to the front row behind the host, so we could show off our signs. QQ and I managed to snag a pretty good spot right behind the host, but as I said, those Red Hat Ladies were merciless!

Unfortunately, the mountain was pretty socked in with fog. It took a while for it to clear off to reveal some beautiful mountain views.

After a while we ran into Kiragirl, who was there with her own SkiDiva sign, modeled after our SkiDiva sticker.

Here's Kiragirl, me, and Quiver Queen:

And here's KG with her own sign:

Anyway, it was a real experience. I'm glad some of you managed to catch it. We hung on for as long as we could -- the crowd kept shifting around and it was hard to remain visible -- until we finally gave up around 8:45 and hiked down.

Anyone else see us?

SD - this event would be right up the Red Hat Society alleyway. Their idea is that just because they're over 50 doesn't mean that can't have fun. I mean red hats and purple dresses!

So I only saw QQ's sign. I didn't see yours, even if you were standing beside her. But it was right up there, front and centre for all to see!

Great promo!

QQ was holding the "I'm A Ski Diva" sign when we were behind the host; I had the other one. Later we switched. The signs were courtesy of Mr. SD. You don't want to get me near a marker. Or scissors, tape, or glue, for that matter.

Hey, I'm not denying those Red Hat Ladies shouldn't have fun! But as I said, it's everyone for himself to get in that front row! Those ladies were tough!

I just caught the tail end of GMA. BUT, I did see The ski Diva on the front page of the Rutland Herald this morning.

It was great seeing the Diva again at Killington peak and meeting Quiver Queen! Yes, it was cold---35 degrees at the top in the a.m. Everyone was stoked for the cold weather and upcoming snow and skiing. Some dude even brought his skis, poles and goggles! My friend Jerry (next to me in the yellow shell) watched a tape of the program later in the day and could see the SkiDiva.com signs, for a few moments. I did have quite a few people ask me about the sign while walking around the lodge; hopefully a bunch of new people will be checking out the site and forums!
