Giro Fuse, what goggles?

Seems like lots of divas are sporting Giro fuse helmets. Just got mine a couple of weeks ago, a SAC deal, now trying to deal with the goggle compatibility issue. Wondering what has worked best for others. Tried Bolles yesterday with moderate success, not as great a field of vision as I'm used to. Any thoughts/input?

I think NannyMin has the Giro Fuse and uses the Smith Anthem goggles. She's skiing VT today (that girl gets around!) so hopefully she'll check in later.

Oh no! There's a goggle compatibility issue? I pulled the trigger on the Giro Fuse when it was offered again recently (Friday, I think?) on SAC. Hope my goggles work with it!

It's not so much the fit at the helmet/goggle line. That seems to work with every last pair I've got (too many....). It's the actual "height" of the goggle, top to bottom, that factors in. I may try to put a shim pad into the upper front of the helmet. Part of it is my ponytail at the back of my head, low toward neck but still pushes up on the helmet. 2 votes for Smith Anthem and counting. These were super cheap not long ago on SAC. Unfortunately, I missed out :(

I have two helmets ( okay 3 ) anyway, I do have a Giro Fuse which I wore for the first time yesterday with my Anthems. I did notice alot of wind coming through on my forehead. It seems that there have been some posts here about similiar? I would reccomend trying goggles on with the helmet for the best fit. Faces are kind of like feet, they are all a little differently shaped so a good goggle helmet fit for one, may not be as good for someone else. I have had great luck with these goggles though, mine are 3 years old now and still performing like brand new. Best mileage I ever got from a pair.

Well I bought the Smith Phenom Spherical Goggles from SAC back in November and the color should go well with the helmet (I ended up with eggplant... not sure if I'll like it in person though). Hopefully they work out okay! I guess I'll find out in a few days...

I haven't had to think about this in years. My 2 older Leedom helmets had "dedicated" goggles, which local ski shop told me were manufactured by Scott and sold with a Leedom banner. The fit was (is) spot-on, never gave it a second thought. Will still use this duo on colder days, as the Leedoms don't vent as well as the Giro. I realize that all faces are different, just looking for some general impresssions.

Picked these up last season before my first day on the bunny hill : ) I should pick up another pair now considering they are 50% off! I have the red ones w/ a gray giro fuse. Anyways I have a smallish head (small helmet) and these fit wonderfully on the helmet and my face. They are great in everything except flat light and on super sunny days they could use a mirror, but they are fine on the slopes...on the really sunny days I notice on the chair lift that I wish they were darker, but have never thought this while skiing, guess that's what really counts and they are polarized : ).
Reliable Racing is about 5 mins. from my house, they are a pretty decent shop, never ordered online from them obviously, but would imagine they are prompt.

The Link works AWESOME with the Giro Fuse. Perfect fit.1

I bought the Aspect b/c it's for small faces, and the whole set-up is so much on the small side that it can feel just the slightest bit tight with a helmet. Although I found they loosened up a bit after multiple wearings. It's a great, small shape, if you have a little peanut head (and short face) like I do.

Neither are spherical, but Zeal makes a spherical option or two.

Actually, I guess I've kind of got a big head compared to some. Giro Fuse is a M, I was a M/L in Leedom (56), and many Oakleys are too small/narrow for my face. Well, I'll take the helmet to ski shop tomorrow to try on stuff, big sale, and I'll be BRINGING IN MY NEW SKIS FOR BINDING MOUNT after they ARRIVE UPS -- so might as well check out goggles. Skis should be ready for pick-up Wed, first official test-"drive" pending THURSDAY.
Better yet, it's SNOWING here! Winter rages on in western Maine!!

Reliable Racing has the regular Swans Coupe too, if you don't find anything at your shop...same goggle just slightly larger I guess : ) I love mine. Good luck with your search!

What are you, my twin???? Oakleys are small for me, too (though I had a pair of clear ones for night skiing from my pre-helmet days because it was a good deal). My Giro is a M, my Boeri helmet was (I think) a L. 22.5" head.

^^^ Yeah, I give all my "too small" stuff to DH. He's got the same circumference head but narrower temples, side to side. The Bolles I wore yesterday were okay but not quite as wide a field of vision as I like. The Scotts had great lenses for flat light, but they are too "high" top to bottom. Lots of goggles to sell, I guess....

I'm shopping too - I've tried on several but the best fits have been Oakley Stockholm, Smith Anthem and Smith Phenom.

Just have to bite the bullet and buy one of them!

I'm thrilled with my Stockholms, and they fit perfectly with both my Giro helmets (sorry, not the Fuse, though). No issue at all with height. Most goggle smush my nose or cheekbones - the Stockholms do neither.

Robyn's right, I do have both. I've had no issues with compatibility. My only complaint about the Smith Anthem goggles is that they don't come with little windshield wipers. Skiing for a bit in the rain yesterday that would have come in handy!
