Shannon D
Ski Diva Extraordinaire
So, last night, DH gave my quite the conundrum. He has been trying to decide what to get me for our anniversary and finally decided to leave it up to me. I must say that my husband rocks and I am a very lucky woman. My choices are:
1. Patagonia Down Sweater
https://www.patagonia.com/web/us/product/product_focus.jsp?OPTION=PRODUCT_FOCUS_DISPLAY_HANDLER&catcode=SPECIAL.SC.MAIN.WOMENS.DOWN/SYNTHETIC&style_color=84681-782&ws=
(by the way, love that the review on this page is by SkiNurse) or
2. Private guide for our trip to Silverton
My struggle is that I already have Mountain Hardware Subzero down coat that I ski in on really cold days and I tend to be pretty warm on my top half most of the time. But the down sweater is so nice and could be worn all winter as a causual coat as well as a layering piece for skiing.
As for the private guide, this is a most unexpected option that has many pros. Last year, I was the slowest hiker in our group which meant that I never had time to catch my breath at the top. I got fatigued early and only took 3 runs. This would mean that we could go at my pace and we could tailor the day to ourselves. The major cons are that it's more expensive than option 1 and that it's a one time experience versus an item that will last me for years to come.
Help, what should I do???
