Getting Giddy...

Indeed I was just looking at some pictures of Mount Washington where they got nearly 11" of the white stuff yesterday and a big grin just plastered itself on my face... Add to that the fact that 1 or 2 areas in the east will be open by weekend (Sunday River and perhaps Mount Snow) and I'm nearly bouncing...

I really can't wait to get skiing. They even say we might see some snow in the Boston area Friday night into Saturday morning. :snow:

I can't see myself actually skiing for another couple weeks, but just the idea that it's there and waiting for me... well :D

(now we'll ignore the fact that several of the trees outside my office window are still full of green leaves... strange fall that we've had)

SNOW!

Today on my way to work it was snow flurrying! Definitely made my Monday a bit more pleasant... hurray for winter.:snow:

It snowed for about 5 minutes around 8am here this morning. Big wet flakes, practically rain. Woo!

Snowing in Connecticut right now - looks beautiful! Unfortunately, weather man says warmer and a chance of rain for the next couple of days.

Snowing in VT right now, too -- though they say it's going to turn to rain. :(

I WAS giddy, but...

May I just say BUMMER!

It's snowing here at my house, but up on Bogus, the sun is shining!

What a MAJOR disappointment.....

We had a bonus...snow and sleet in NW CT. I think it's raining now. It's definitely soggy outside instead of beautifully snowy.

The time will come.

Ok. I'm practically bouncing... it's REALLY snowing here in Boston this morning!!!!:snow: :snow:

(luckily however it's not sticking to my car as I realized midway to work that I do not yet have the snowbrush in my car  )

I can't wait to get skiing... guess I'd better go spend some time on the skiers edge to get my body in the rhythm.

This early season drives me crazy.

I've been on my husband's case for days to go up to Mt Snow, but he keeps telling me that not enough runs will be open and it will be crowded, and conditions won't be good etc etc.

His bottom line is that it won't be worth the drive up there. My bottom line is if there's snow and the mountain is open LET'S GO ALREADY.
Hopefully I'll wear him down by this weekend.

I have to say it was sweet at Okemo this morning! Three or four inches of fresh powder! No one there, either.

I am so jealous! Nothing but little ski hills around here and none of them are open yet. Though Mohawk is planning for this Friday. We'll see... I'm not sure the temps will be on their side for snowmaking.

Cyn, go without him!

So yesterday my Loveland 4pak arrived! I was dancing around the kitchen grinning holding lift tickets in my hands!!!!!:yahoo:

Too bad I won't get to use them until April... but I'm still psyched. Thanks to those who tipped me off on what a great deal that is!

Now here's hoping for a great big snow storm in the mountains this weekend so I can convince my hubby to sneak off for some skiing soon!:snow:
