Gearing up for the ski year 2007

I just ordered Arcteryx Theta hard shell pants-----black bibs with all the extras: side zips, crotch zip, Gore-tex.

Hubby doesn't know yet, but he will soon :humble:

My $20 North Face shell pants are done---busted zippers, rips, etc. I thought about the Duct tape solution (the anti-tourist look), but my second thought was: NAAAAHHHHH.

I'm worth it---right Divas?:help:

dloveski! You are worth it!!

Try explaining that you bought five pair of skis in the past two weeks, three of which are for me :yahoo:

I'll be posting my quiver thread soon. Just have to fine tune and get rid of some overlap.:becky:

You are Soooo worth it.. I think wearing duct tape beyond the immediate emergency would be just shameful ! (well, not really but I might question your gender identity ) ( not really that either, just giving you thoughts for reasons why you need those pants. ).
Hey , investing in good quality clothing/protective garments are definately NOT considered extravagant but necessity. You got your $20 worth out of the old ones, you'll get your moneys worth out of these and be ever so comfortable and protected.

Besides, once you put duct tape on something , how could you ever wash it ????

Thank you Divas, for your support of a sister Diva. We have our priorities straight! I know hubby will see it the "diva way" when the bill comes.

I looked and looked for hard shell pants; an industry gear guy said that US tariffs were high on imports of the hard shell pants, that's why the prices are higher than other models.

I just decided to go for it. Now......I'm eyeing the Sugar Mamas, but since a sale on these is not going to happen, I'm waiting to see what kind of snow year it is. If it's like last year, my pocket rockets won't cut it on the crud. Being a Ski Diva is not easy----

I'm drooling over here...

My husband has those pants and they make me so jealous!! That's what I'm getting when my Cloudveils die.

Nice choice.

The problem is that Cloudveils never die. ;) Craig has a pair that he's messed up, sends them back in and they come back like new.

Same thing with his Koven jacket - he destroyed the zipper and they mailed him a new jacket.
