Gear Review: Blizzard Phoenix R13 TI

Just saw this thread title -- I am in CO and don't typically bother with groomer-only skis, but ... it's 2025. Evo has some crazy deals on skinny Blizzard skis, and I just popped for the Phoenix R14 Pro. $319 includes bindings. My main thought is that usually it starts snowing once I buy a skinny ski :-)
Have fun with them! I have the 2022. What are the differences between 2022 and 2024, @SnowHot?

I'm not sure there is much of a change in that particular ski. They did make big changes in the Black Pearl line.

Anyone have any more feedback on these skis now that you've skied them? I really want a sub-80 waisted ski with the Marker binding as it has a low delta and am eyeing some of these in a 160 length (2023 version.) Since I love the latest Black Pearls AND Sheevas with the same true blend wood core with titanal strips, I think these will have a familiar feel to me.

Still loving them! Go for it.

I'm trying to sort out the stupid tariff costs. Is it charged on the country I am buying them from, or the country they were manufactured in?  I have to wonder how hard these retailers from Canada are being hit.

Boiling it down to it’s simplest elements, YOU pay the tariff.

I see them on asogear.

Products being shipped to the USA will be taxed at the following rates, based on the country of origin of the product:
-China: 30%
-Asia: 20%
-Switzerland: 39%
-European Union: 15%

*Please note that these are fees collected by the US Government and are therefore non-refundable on any returned items.

So, the ebay seller is andresjacques. I messaged about the tariff and they said they eat the cost! I guess we'll see. It'll start snowing now, watch! (I haven't skied my 96 under foot Sheevas once this year. )

I've skied the 14 Pro and 13 Ti. knowing how you ski and what you enjoy I am confident that this is your carving jam.

BTW, we had a fun chat with Bryce last week at Brighton during the demo.
Dang the conditions were bad but it was cool seeing him.

I have ordered them. It will now snow LOL! I was going to join him last week there but the conditions were not enticing, and I don't need to do any more stress testing of my knees. He said not only that conditions were awful (rocks, super hard pack) but that the main run for testing was just not good for opening up and really getting a feel for the skis. He did get on a Salomon front-side ski that they have been selling in Europe and loved it. Go figure. The man likes full camber, square tailed skis with oomph.

Well, the ebay seller contacted me and told me they were no longer in stock. Um, then why did you take my money as if they were? A refund was issued but I'm back to square one.

I found another pair and have ordered them. I am a bit confused about the year and exact model because the label says it's a 2023 but it's a 162, so one of the sellers had the wrong information.

One of the interesting things in my book is that your Tec/Blizz rep doesn't have those narrow skis in his demo fleet. We talked about it at Brighton. I was sincerely looking at demoing the 14 Pro and he quite clearly said, "I don't sell through with those skinny skis."
I said,...."Have you been out there on the slopes? Dude skinny skis rule right now."

So, the 72 under foot version arrived today with no additional fees! They are my favorite color, which wasn't super obvious in the picture. And guess what? We have quite a lot of snow in the forecast! So, I don't know when I'll get out on these unless there is a bluebird groomer day, but I think these will serve the purpose of me really learning to use my edges. IMG_5894.jpeg
