Most likely all the child passports for free skiing mentioned in the 2018-19 thread will continue for 2019-20. But always a good idea to check for changes. Some are open to anyone regardless of where they live, but some are limited to residents of a specific state.

Epic SchoolKids is back with free days for K-G5 kids for a few regions. People living in Colorado, Utah, and near W-B should read the details to see if it's worth enrolling. Crested Butte was added for Colorado. The deal is 4 days at each of the VR locations in Colorado, 4 days at Park City, or 5 days at W-B. Last year enrollment closed in early October.

If you got a passport for your kid or grandkid recently, which one?

The states that have had passport programs include, but are not limited to, PA, CO, and VT. If your home state has a passport or other program for free skiing for kids, please share the info.

And keep in mind that you often don’t need to be a resident of the state to take advantage of these things.

Here's the link for the Vermont 5th grade passport. The processing fee is $20. Seems to include all the ski areas with lifts in VT, plus cross-country centers. There are blackout dates that vary by location.

How Does it Work?
Passport holders receive in the mail, a booklet containing coupons that are redeemed for lift tickets at participating alpine (downhill) resorts as well as coupons to participating cross-country centers to redeem for trail passes. The booklet contains 3 coupons for each participating alpine resort listed below. The number of coupons per cross-country centers vary, most offer one trail pass coupon with a few centers offering 3 coupons. Please note you do need the physical book in hand to use at the resort, Ski Vermont does not have a digital option for this program.

Once received, please insert picture of child on inside cover of the booklet and complete required signatures. Present passport at ticket window/redemption location day of for ticket.

The passports were such a great way to try new mountains.

Theses passports are for kids, aren't they. We have a similar program in Ontario Canada for grade 5 only.

The registration for the PA passport is open, $35 before Dec. 1 and $40 after that. Good for up to 3 day tickets at each location. Open to residents of any state. I know families in the DC area who have made good use of it.

The deadline for the lowest price for the PA Ski Passport is approaching. There seems to be a giveaway of skis or snowboards for the first 60 kids to reach 5 days using a PA Snowpass.

“Three Days Left to Save $5 On Your Snowpass

The time to get your Snowpass is now! Skiing for free is a great deal but there are only 3 days left to purchase your Snowpass for the lowest processing fee! The fee increases on December 1 by $5. This program offers FREE lift tickets to 4th and 5th grade students that ski or snowboard in Pennsylvania (and best of all you don’t have to live in PA)! And, as an added incentive this year, the first 60 skiers and snowboarders to reach five days on the mountain with their Snowpass will win a FREE special Edition pair of Gilson Youth Skis or Snowboards.
