I need a hand here. A little while ago I left the room....ahhhh....to take car of business...yeah, that's it, and I haven't seen my phone since. I made the mistake of leaving it on the couch, and the puppy was in the room as well. I seriously think she may have eaten the stoopid phone.

If SOMEONE, ANYONE, would be kind enough to call....(it's a cell, I have no land line and no one else is home) I'd be most appreciative. At least I can follow the ringer and make sure it's not in her tummy! She won't tell me where it is!

I don't think I've ever posted my phone # online before, but here goes....

Thanks!

silly dog had pushed it under the other end of the couch. I never would have found it there.

Thanks Robyn!

LOL!

That reminds me of when I misplaced my cell phone at work.

I work alone so I decided to use the work phone to call my cell phone and because I knew the phone wasn't in my office I dialed my number then ran out of the office and into my car. (thinking that it must have fallen under one of the seats or was in the parking lot somewhere.)

By the time I reached my car I didn't hear anything so I figured it rang so much it hung up. So I moved my car close to the front door of the building went inside dialed my number again and ran out to the car. Still nothing!!!! The phone's not in the car!!! OMG, someone must have picked it up from the parking lot and kept it!!!

So I phoned the number again to angrily confront the person who took my phone. I dial my number again, and the culprit has the nerve to answer my phone!!! Just then I see my cellphone behind a piece of equipment and I realized I've been phoning the wrong area code! I just told her, Ohh I'm so sorry, I'm such a moron! She was good about it since I phoned her three times, two times with me running outside! It was late too! Jeez...

Ringing dog, haha.

I'm in the cell only/no landline camp as well. I've had to run over to a neighbor and ask them to call me. Always kinda awkward.

LOL! What would you have done if the dog started ringing?

seriously! I guess we would have just been heading over to the vet's, no calling ahead LOL

Thank goodness it didn't come to that.

Loved your story Sarah LOL

Oh yeah, another thing I do is send myself text messages from online, that usually works, and if it's buried somewhere and needs more consistant ringing, I text a friend from the computer and get them to call me a few times.

Tmobile and others have a free message sender, or if you know your phone's email address you can use that.

how do I find my phone's email address? I have a friend whose phone I email all the time, but I have no idea how to go about doing that with my own phone. would be nice to know!

and yes, I guess this really should be in a "living in 2007-2008" thread!

Yeah, but what do you do when you lose the remote for the TV??? (Other than buy a new one, of course.)

What provider do you have? Each cell provider has a pattern it uses, example with Tmo it's your ten digit number at tmomail.net ([email protected] X being area code digits and Y being your number).

DH used to have a serious problem with the remote.

He kept saying WE did it.

I tied shock cord to it (shaped perfectly to be tethered) and then threaded the other end of the six foot long piece of elastic into the guts of his favorite chair. Tied it in, and he could never hide the remote from himself again!
