This was a very light weight ski, without compromising stability at all. It was zippy while maintaining it's crudbustability. Fantastic grip. I definitely want more time on these. I felt like the waist width was perfect for someone who hasn't gone over 70 before and wants a little more substance without giving up any quickness. These and the Volkl Attiva Fuegos really stuck with me. I neeeeed more time on both of them. But I digress....

I'm a firm believer in function over form, but I've gotta admit that the topsheets on these are hot. The ones I tested didn't have the blue in the graphic as the others I've seen do, the writing was gray. Looks fantastic either way. Here's a pic

:yahoo: You got to demo! Sounds like this one was REAL good. BTW, have to be honest that the ski we previously discussed is probably NOT the best one for you, based on your description of your skiing, aggressiveness, etc. You are what I would define as a rapidly advancing intermediate and truly need a ski with some guts. The aforementioned really wouldn't cut it for you. Go for GUSTO! You sound like a Volkl candidate to me. However, Fischer will surely do well!

I really liked the vision vapor too when I tested them at Steamboat. I came close to buying them, but ultimately bought the Atomic Sugar Mamas. I agree with all that you said about the vapors Num - a really nice ski.

How funny, I skied these this weekend on the powder day. They were on my "short list" for a second ski for when we have a lot of snow and ungroomed crud.

I didn't like them. :( I found them sluggish, and they didn't float nearly as well as the Sugar Mamas did. Maybe they were too stiff for me.

I loved the Vapors for east coast carvers when I tried them - I always describe them to people as "snappy" and I felt like I "looked really good" when I was on them.

I was considering getting a pair, but I don't think I'm going to buy them just because I don't see them as good for off-piste or on big days out west, but they'd be awesome skis to have as a second pair for groomer days and trips to New England, in my opinion!

Let me know if anyone else has tried these and has any thoughts.
