Fischer Vision Exhale/Breeze Vs. K2 One Luv

Ok I originally posted asking about the K2 skis and then I got some info on the Fischer vision exhale. So I have been doing my research, reading reviews and asking questions. I will be going to whistler in a couple of weeks and will be able to try the One Luv and the Breeze... they don't have the exhale and have never heard of it. Anyway I want to finalize all information in one spot so I have it all in my head for when I am trying these out. I would love it if I could get imput on a pros and cons and a comparison of these skis in everything they can and can't do. So I hope you don't mind and that you enjoy my mini challenge. Thank you everyone. You are all awesome and oh so helpful. This is the best forum I have ever been on for anything. Divas Rule!

Did you decide?

Just wondering if you tried out Fischer Breeze and K2 One Luv and what you decided on. I'm at the very same crossroads. I'm an intermediate skier trying to up my game. Ski mostly in the West. Would love to hear about your experience. thanks!

I live in NY, so we don't have good snow like I've heard you have out west. I bought the Fischer Vision Breeze at the end of last season and absolutely love them. I had demo'd the K-2 One Luv as well, but found they didn't do as well on the ice. The K-2 is a heavier ski than the Fischer Breeze. My last skis were K-2 First Luv and I really figured I would stick with the K-2 brand, but once I tried the Breeze, I knew that was the ski for me!

My advice is to demo as much as possible before buying. I would have made the wrong decision without it!

Thanks for the info. You must be so glad you tried out the Fischers. I found a shop that rents them so I am going to demo this coming weekend in Tahoe. The temps are supposed to be in the 60's so we might have spring skiing conditions. If you can ever make it out west, my favorite spot is Park City, Utah. I'll let you know what I think of the Fischers. Thanks for the advice and happy skiing!:ski2:

Love my new Fischer Vision Exhales

I tried the fischer Breeze at Whistler last year. They were a good ski but I personally found them a bit much to handle. Based on this information I decided to get the Fischer Vision Exhale. The ski below the Breeze which they did not have available to try. I ordered them online and got them after the season was over. I tried them for the first time on our ski trip to Big White just before christmas and I love them to bits. They are perfect for me and gave me so much confidence. I unfortunatly did not get to try the K2s as I didnt get to skiing anywhere where I could rent these different types of skis until the end of the season so I just ran out of time. I was given a lot of advice on the fact that the Fischer would be really good skis for what I wanted that I made an educated guess on my decision and am happy I did.

Going with the Breeze

I skied Fischer Breeze last weekend and really liked them. I normally ski a 150, but had to take 155's because that was all the rental shop had at the time. I think I will feel even better on the 150's. Everytime I think about how I felt on them, I get very happy and so I am getting very close to making a purchase. I keep hearing that it is a ski that I can really grow into, which is what I'm looking for. Thanks for your input and enjoy your Exhales!

Fischer women's skis

I bought my first skis in 2007 and they are the Fischer Vision 70. They were perfect for me. Great carvers. Very lightweight. Fischer makes airplane wings so they are strong. I am guessing the Fisher Breeze or Exhale is the same ski but just the newer model. The only issue I have is that it does have a fat shovel and I wonder if this makes straight down skiing harder to ski really fast? I'm 5'5" and 110lbs and wondered if I should get a longer ski to help ski faster? Mine are 152 cm as that is all the store had when I purchased them.

My level is pretty good, I guess. I stick to all the diamonds wherever I go because those have the least amount of people and little kids who can get in the way. I guess what we have East is nothing to compare to out West but I was in S. Lake Tahoe last month and did their diamonds at a few diff ski areas/mnts I visited, including the one that scared me a little when I got off called "The Wall" lift at Kirkwood after a heavy snowfall. I made it down them all so I have to give it up to the Fischer's which have waaay increased my confidence on the slopes.

I think you are onto something when you say that the shorter length is limiting your speed. I felt like I was zipping down the mountain on the 155's. I was skiing much faster than usual, but also felt like I was in control on the Fischer's. And I am only 5'2". I think you should experiment with a longer ski. Maybe try a demo ski for a day. I was thinking that I will probably sacrifice speed going down to the 150s, but gain some control on the moguls, which I am working on now. It is a trade-off. I'm only just beginning to ski in Tahoe, so don't know the run you mention at Kirkwood. I do know that Tahoe has some pretty steep runs. In fact, there are several places that have steep runs at the bottom of the mountain (like Heavenly and Squaw). You must be pretty good if you stick to the diamonds. I'm still clinging to the blues! Let us know if you have the chance to demo a longer ski and how you feel on it.

Hi Ladies,

I am about to buy my first pair of skis. I've narrowed it down to the Fischer Exhale or K2 Sweet Luv 2011 model. I am a complete beginner, but wanted something I can grow into. I am light weight (94lbs), so should I pick the K2 or the Fischer? x.

Well interesting that a thread I believe i started quite awhile ago has come back. I actually bought the Fischer Exhales and have yet to even try the the K2s. I got a few PMs about how good the Exhales were and bought them on that advice. I am 5'1" and about 117lbs, I bought the skis after only skiing about 5 times and have used them on all sorts of terrain since so I can say they are definitely good for beginners and have been awesome on everything from green runs to blue runs and I think i have taken them down a minor black run (though I am still working up to those). They have seen skating rink ice to mashed potato/snow cone terrain and I have even taken them over some mini jumps. They are easy to turn and handle well and have good grip on more icy sections. All in all I love them and am super happy with them.

:yahoo: thank you so much! I think I will order my Fischer today. Plus it also suits the color of my boots better than the K2 (:P)
I'll let you know how I go, since there is a slight weight difference.
