Yes indeed, there was snow in Connecticut at 5 am this morning!

Unlike last October where was 80 in Rhode Island, it has decided to be cold early. I still have a sailboat to take apart! And it seems that the wind insists on blowing hard enough to make this an effort. Friday might be the most civilized day for a bit. Within a week or two I will be full on ready for skiing!

Snow in Maine also. Someone hiked up Sugarloaf and skied down yesterday. Ha! Mostly dust-covered low shrubs, but hey - fanatics are fanatics. I hope she used disposable rock skis!

The road leading away from my house to the “highway” to work was sanded, but not much else. Then, driving through Barnard (a town with higher elevation) Rt. 12 was covered with ice! It was light by then, thank goodness. 29 degrees, about 7:15 am.

If it’s going to start snowing before I move in December I may have to find people to sponge from! The first year I rented in Vermont I took the apartment mid November. That was the year it didn’t snow at all! All man-made on the hill. I walked in town most of the season without even bothering to put boots on. After that I moved my move in date to December 1!

Looking good in Breckenridge here in Colorado! They've been blowing snow like crazy on Peak 8 and over a week we got about a foot. Opening Day less than 3 weeks away. A Basin and Loveland opened this weekend!

Some shots of Mount Snow from the other day... of course Friday it went back up to 50 so all that white stuff went away, but it was nice to see!
