First few opening days in the Rockies coming soon for 2020-21

It's been interesting to see the amount of acreage available for ski resorts that have been open in Colorado for a week or more. In general, seems to be 150-300 acres with multiple lifts and preferably more than one base for a larger resort. According to OpenSnow, that's 5-10% of total acreage. That also seems to be common for Ikon and Epic resorts that opened in November.

LA Times did an overview of skiing in the west. Sounds like some destination resorts will not only have food trucks at the base, there may also be food snowcats on the mountain.
