Yes they seemed great off piste which is one of the main reasons I bought them, I was pleasantly suprised how well they performed on the groomers which is an added bonus !!! x
Yes, agreed! They are a great all around ski. Fun to have on the entire day!

Oh let us know... I demoed about two-three years ago and thought so fun. Meanwhile I bought the Sheeva 9 (for more groomers etc) and then @chasinghorizons had them in my size for sale and voila! Now I have them....
Hope you can ski soon. Damn that Covid.
Ooops I have the 9's not the 10's :laughter: I dont think I'd get the use out of the 10's over here, we tend to specialise in "variable" rather than "pow", we have however got the best start to the season in a verrrry long so bring it on !!!:ski:

Thats great to know as I often end up unwittingly on super sketchy terrain .... sometimes its just the T Bar lift line up !! I've just heard that my local ski area isnt opening on Friday after all as most of the patrollers have Covid  I was so looking forward to taking them out again on home turf x
Oh no! I'm so sorry. But you're so lucky - it's that time of year for you to ski!

Okay so I'm now 9 days in on the Sheevas (due to continuing storms we've had a lot of closed days) and I am totally in love! Where my BP's tried to kill me a few times last season the Sheevas have saved me more than once so far, yesterday when I had to negotiate groomer debris at the drop in point to a fave run, and when I say debris I mean laptop size ice cookies, which kept me on my toes for the first few turns but despite the lack of technical style I used to get through them the Sheevas were nippy enough to get me to where I wanted to be so Yay !! Anyhow, we've had typical variable conditions over here and what powder we have had has generally come with the dreaded crust so I havent had a chance to try them in much soft snow but when I have wow they have been so much fun and they've been totally manageable on the groomers esp when they get cut up a bit. I did get them out in lovely soft chowder yesterday and they just blazed through it. Anyhow I'm hoping to take them on a holiday this coming week to Ohau, Roundhill and Mt Dobson and we're both very much looking forward to it x

They are such a stable ski. I organized my ski closet today, and skiing already seems like a lifetime ago. Lucky you it's ski season in NZ!

I know yippeeee ! We're in the begining phases of yet another storm cycle and expecting between 25 and 40cm, enough already I'd love just a week of lovely calm bluebird weather (insert sunshine symbol here ) x

Take some photos up the Roundhill rope tow and out the back of Ohau if the weather lets you!

I'll try but it looks like the weather might not play ball so we're thinking of delaying the trip :cry:Its yet another powder day down here, all fields on hold, hubby's all fired up and heading up into the chaos, think I might stay home today and try tomorrow when the weathers calmed down a bit.

I'd love some sun, its been storm cycle after storm cycle with very few calm clear days, getting a bit sick of skiing around in a cloud or flat light at best. At this point I'd just take a couple of nice sunny days :laughter:

I hope you managed to get up and enjoy some fresh snow today! I decided to chance Hutt yesterday but the access road didn't open for a looooong time due to all the snow, luckily they extended their opening hours to 5:30 for the day so I still had a couple hours skiing... it was all wind crusted, so it got nicer as it got more chopped up :laughter:
