You know you're ready for ski season when......

I'll start -- you compulsively check the ski forums to talk about skiing! (Oh wait, that's a year-round thing.)

the new ski magazine arrives, and you read the new ski reviews over and over again, even when you're not in the market for new skis!

...............you burn unscented candles so the house will smell like you're waxing skis.

...............When you turn the Air conditioner on high and wear a jacket in the car.

I'll pose another question in this regard.
Phil posted this on epic:
When you are adding up ski gear you purchased in a ski season, when does one season end and another begin?

For instance, if you buy skis in June, are they last seasons purchase or next season?

Ooo, that's tough. I'd say whichever is the least painful, psychologically. Go with whatever works.

As someone who's probably been through this LOTS of times, Snowhot, what do you think? ;)

Bump.

Since we all seem to be in a major jones for ski season, let's revive this and start again.

You know you're ready for ski season when.....

------your husband looks at you and says, "isn't there something else we can talk about?"

(and how will that change when the season begins??????? )

you're watching Sex in the City, and Carrie is discussing relationships with her editor at Vogue. She says to Carrie "Stop expecting relationships to be what you expect them to be! Relationships are like fall lines; they're never what you expect them to be!

So I start to think, hmmm, yeah, is the fall line line always what you expect it to be, and how is skiing the fall line like a relationship, then it hits me... UH, DUH!!!! Vogue magazine, Fall Line, as in, HELLO, CLOTHES!!!!!

When you actually start making reservations for ski trips you've only been talking about before now.

I have actually done this - and ususally it is in August. That's about the time of year when I wish I was skiing.

How about . . . .

You know it's time for ski season when . . .
the forecast calls for snow and your co-workers are complaining but you are jumping up and down with excitement! :D

(my co-workers don't really understand me - but then again, who does?? Oh, yes! I remember! The Divas do!)

LOL!!! I so understand and thank you Lola. Funny thing...my dad was over for dinner the other night and my boots were in the dining area (mirrored door in there) He says "Gheesh Honey you brought your ski stuff out, you're all ready to go aren't you!" All I could think was... I'm glad he wasn't here an hour ago when I was walking around in my boxers and boots flexing them as I admired the cuts in my calves and thighs in the mirror. He just might think I'm a little touched. ROFLMAO!

Oh gawd!!! I can't believe I just admitted to doing that.

Hotchocolate, you have no idea!
You are in good company!
I came home one day to find that my husband had put my skis/boots/helmet, all purchased this summer, up in the attic. I actually yelled at him:eek:

The really sad thing about that is that he NEVER EVER puts anything away. The one time he did, I freaked out, because it was MY SKI GEAR!

I'm a sick sick woman.

You know its time for ski season when:

Your husband is out 'seasoning' the skis, in August!!!

I too have been tooling around the house in my new boots

(why is his obsession reasonable while I'm just crazy:rolleyes: ?
