Oh, Roman Holiday is another old movie I like.

"Best in Show" is hysterical!

Another one of my favorites, kind of a cult classic, is "Breaking Away."

I love older films and especially ones that are filmed where I'd like to be (and with whom...) so these are the few I own:
Charade – Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, opening with a ski scene in the Alps;
To Catch a Thief – Cary Grant and Grace Kelly on the French Riviera;
Roman Holiday
Rear Window
North By Northwest
Witness (Harrison Ford in the 1980's...)

Others I would own:
Some Like it Hot
Dial M for Murder
Chariots of Fire

Newer good ones:
inside Man
Ten Items or Less

Animation:
Les Triplettes de Belleville (for Tour de France fans)
Ratatouille
Monsters Inc

Musicals:
White Christmas
Singing In The Rain

Oh, yes, Amelie is a great movie! (French film, very funny).

I love old movies too. Just re-watched "Harvey" with Jimmy Stewart last night. Funny movie, and a classic.

Another good Jimmy Stewart movie is "You Can't Take it With You".....1938 - Jimmy is pretty young in that one.

"The Rear Window" is my favorite Hitchcock movie. An older, interesting Hitchcock one is "Spellbound" with a very young Gregory Peck and Ingrid Bergman.

Witness (Harrison Ford in the 1980's...)

"Witness" was filmed in my home town. I was in high school at the time and thought Harrison Ford was a hunk. My friends and I went downtown to watch the filming....we stood for hours outside the Lancaster Central Market and were rewarded by an appearance of Harrison Ford as they shot a few scenes there.

I worked as a cashier at a KMart after school hours at the time, and Harrison Ford came in that store and bought a cooler and a beach umbrella. I didn't recognize him until he was just about through the line....he had the kind of appearance that looks SO "regular guy" that he really didn't stand out. Just about knocked my socks off when I realized who it was, but I was too shy to ask for an autograph.:redface:
