I've posted a few photos of fall in the Dawning Chorus thread, so I thought I'd start a thread where others could share their pictures of the season, too.

Here area a couple I took today:

Those pics are so lovely!

Today was so nice, wasn't it?

Here in Cleveland, it was quite rainy <not great for driving a civic>. BUT, on the way home, I love that cloudy fall sky of blue/gray as it's just about getting dark, but theres still enough light that it creates this very serene atmosphere. Very pleasant drive home.

Great pictures, Ski Diva! But alas . . . here in suburban Philadelphia, the trees are still mostly green.

How beautiful! You are so lucky. I love fall but I've been so busy with work and my kids that I don't think I'm taking the time to enjoy it! The weather has been awesome here in Denver though! It's been great for the kiddos' Cross Country meets! I'll try to get some pics!

Same here. Had to cancel a trip last weekend. But hoping to go on to the Berkshires this Saturday. Praying for good weather...

Beautiful pictures!

I'm planning a hike in Conifer on Thursday, and then I have a girls' weekend in Glenwood Springs this weekend, so I should have some great pictures (hopefully) to post next week!

Ski nurse is that your puppy-dog in the bottom picture? I love to hike out with my dog's! Unfortunately the last two weekends have been taken up with early doe and then the youth hunt season. Tomorrow bow season starts! So we really haven't been able to run in the woods for the last couple of weeks. A least with bow season you are a little safer than gun season. As long as you keep orange vest or bright collars on the dogs, don't venture out until after 11:00am then are out of the woods by 4:00pm that is. Lol. I observe the same rules with my horse except that during gun season I stay out of the woods completely.

:love:Yep, that's Benson. It was such a great day cuz we were the only ones on the trail and he could be off leash. The color of his coat just about matches the fall colors.

Hmm, now I'm trying to decide which hike to go on today!:becky:

My husband and I took a ride up to Keene, NH on Friday to do some biking. Unfortunately, it was raining. Instead, we headed back towards CT and stopped at Yankee Candle in Deerfield, MA. They always have beautiful decorations to celebrate the seasons.

By the way, I got an email on Friday night that it had snowed at Stowe that day!

Not from this year, but one of my favorites. This variety of maple generally peaks between 10/12-10/14 here at this elevation. Higher elevations already are past peak.

Those are beautiful!

I went over to Okemo today and took some pix by some of the trails.

This is the Green Ridge Triple, that goes over Timberline. They must've been working on the lift because it was moving!!! It got me all excited about skiing.

This is along the Black Ridge Triple, over by Black Out:

And another pic by some other trail:
