Experience withBlizzard Black Pearl 94’s?

I concur, it's possible they're just the slightest bit on the long side for you? Since you mentioned feeling great on them outside of tight turns. I'm 5'6" 105lbs and I grabbed the 94s at 158cm after demoing the new 88s at 164 because I had a similar experience as you: felt great when I had the luxury of looking far ahead but impossibly delayed on reaction time otherwise. I'm thinking 160 or 162 would probably be the sweet spot for us; it's crazy what a difference just 1-2" length can make on turn radius considering how little mass we have to throw around and facilitate that!
Oops, I meant 164. It was either that or 158 and I was afraid the 158 would be too short. It’s too bad I couldn’t try them out. Now I’ll never know!

I was trying to decide between the 158s and 164s, but demoing both really helped me to decide. For me, the 164s were more stable at speed. I am not a super fast skier by any means, but the stability is helping me to feel more confident and not always trying to slow down. But to be clear, stability was my number one priority in choosing a new ski. I also had more fun on the 164s. I think it would be really hard for me to choose a new ski without demoing now. It made such a huge difference for my decision making process, and my understanding if ski technology.

What's your boot size? I assume from your username that we probably ski the same mountains :P I've got attacks drilled on at 24.5 so if you're thereabouts you could take them out for a spin next season

Thanks, I think I’m good with my choice for now. Like Puppyski, I went longer for stability and am reassured to see she was in the same boat.

I did also get some Renoun Earhart 88s at a fantastic deal. Seems some of the ski divas here love them. So now I’ve got two very different skis to test out next season!
