While recovering from meniscus tear surgery, I needed to ice the knee often. The gauze they put on initially is pretty bulky, and icing it isn't much of a problem.
But on the day when you're allowed to take all that bloody mess off and shower, rewrapping and icing the knee can be tricky without getting too cold.
I discovered that a 0-3 month onesie fits right over the whole shmear and keeps you from getting frostbite! Put your guaze pads on, slide the onesie bottom first over your foot and pull it up over the pads, wrap with an ace bandage, and enjoy the tidy little package. Comfort and stability!
