Dynastar Legend 8000 skis on sale at STP

Tennessee

Ski Diva Extraordinaire
Hello everyone,

I just wanted to alert you to a great deal if you're looking for a great ALL-MOUNTAIN ski. I ski on this ski and it really and truly does everything well. From groomed to crud it will sail right on through.

Sierra Trading Post has the Dynastar Legend 8000 ski on sale now for $519.95

This is not the women's ski (they do have that though also, Exclusive Legend) but if you're like me and don't like the heel lift then you don't want the women's version. This is the ski I ski and LOVE. They have it in the 165 length which would be right for a lot of you. This is a BIG FAT ski so don't ski it too short.

FYI, Tennessee

FWIW, the 08 Exclusive Legend (not sure about the 07 or 09), no mounting (i.e., "fluid") system, is a flat ski, and not just in not being mounted. Any/all height would come from risers in the bindings themselves. This is the first ski I have had in a long time on which my heel is flat to the ski. Absolutely no riser built into the ski whatsoever. But what STP is showing is the 07 (only available in a 152 now, and for way more than levelninesports is offering) -- which, again, I don't know if riser is built into the ski itself. Not for 08.

Thanks MaineSkiLady! STP is offering the 07 model of the Exclusive Legend, and in the description they talk about a raised heel. But I think the raised heel is in the recommended Look binding because when I look at the photo of the ski it does not show a raised platform. From just reading the description I was confused. I used to have a pair of Dynastar women's skis and they did have a binding with a raised heel. I guess I got confused. What's levelninesports? I guess I need to check out that website.

Thanks for clearing up the heel lift thing -- I really hate heel lifts from my one experience! It's a personal preference but any mention of them has me running screaming from the room.

Check out this killer deal:

The binding deals aren't bad, either. Nice selection all around. Have a look! One of my many "bookmarked" (and may not be able to resist this deal!)
I was the opposite: got used to being raised and was worried about what it would be like to be solidly against the ski again. I worried for naught  - felt great, still does. You bet they rock!

Dynastar skis

WOW! That's a great deal for the Dynastar Exclusive Legend and I checked and they are selling the Dynastar Legend 8000 also for $299. I get pro form prices so I guess I'm not really up on the good internet sites. This one looks fantastic and the descriptions of the skis are really spot on! I've been skiing this ski for 2.5 years and their description even helps me understand the ski better! I will recommend this site to everyone. The knowledge of this group is amazing I'm learning. Thanks MaineSkiLady.
