Dream Gear.

Let's use our imaginations, ladies. Is there some sort of gear you wish was around, but isn't? We could be sitting on the next new innovation for skis, clothing, etc. Hey, maybe some industry exec will see this and get things moving (paying us a handsome royalty, of course! :D )

I wish there was some sort of jacket that would adjust to outdoor temps without my having to add or remove layers. So if it was really cold, the jacket would get really warm. And vice versa.

I wish the TuneUps had an in-line volume control in addition to a mute button.

I wish there were some light performance women's ski boots that would help me fly in the park but still keep me stable when ripping down hardpack.

I wish there were more options for lightweight ski gloves for kids.

I wish there were a good alimeter watch that was easy to read and fit for smaller, women's wrists.

That's my "off the top of my head" wish list....

This is pretty silly but my husband has a SPYDER jacket with a coat sleeve that has plastic where his watch is so that he can see it easily. I've looked at various women's jackets and haven't seen one with a similar option. Is that because women don't ever need to check the time?

Try the Dalbello Krypton line of boots- they are nice and light and work great in all situations. I have a pair, and with tweaking and general use they started to feel very nice by the end of the season.

My tune ups do have an in line volume and mute button.

As said above, the Dalbello Krypton line is a good boot for this versatility. I love mine!

If so, the least they could do would be a women's jacket that has a mirror on the sleeve so we could check our make-up while riding on the chair! ;)

More pockets on my jacket. You can never have enough.

Goggles or glasses that would never fog - ever.

A "wipe-o-matic" that would automatically wipe my nose on really cold days, and retract out of sight.

Because its soooo cold at Tremblant in January, a scraf, neck tube, bandit that doesn't ice up and freeze to my face. And when you do go inside it immediately dries up. My bandit is the best thing so far. Those neoprene "masques" just freeze to my face and fog up the goggles. More pockets especially on the outside. My instructor jacket has so many I lose track of were I put things. But my Rossi doesn't even have a zippered pocket on the inside. I want my wallet secure!!

Yes, skis! I need skis sooooo badly. But I only ski straight 185s, which are no longer made. I wish Rossi or Dynastar or Volkl or *anyone* would drag out some dusty ski molds from storage and crank out a few pairs. Seriously, once the mold is made, it is just a matter of sandwiching material. So, *ahem*, manufacturers, just make me a couple of pairs, please!!!! I have several backup pairs and after that I will make them myself if I have to (the ultimate DIY). But it would be nice to buy them instead.

And since we're dreaming: a speedometer on my right ski tip and a tachometer on my left ski tip. The "tachometer" to measure turns per minute. Solar clothing, especially mittens, to keep warm. A friendly horn on my ski pole grip to warn those wearing earphones that I'm near.
