Does anyone ski on Atomics?

I don't see a lot of talk going on about Atomics so it made me wonder. I demoed a lot of skis last year and went with the woman's Metron B11. I loved everything about them, even tho I'm not experienced enough tell huge differences between different models.

Anyone else try these skis?

I bought Atomic Sugar Mamas this year. These are my first pair of Atomics. I haven't tried them yet, but can't wait. I'll let you know in about 3-4 weeks time as unfortunately, it's unlikely I'll get out before then.

I demoed the B:11 Metron last year and didn't like it. It felt too heavy and clunky. The length was 158 or so, which is generally the proper length for me.

I have some Atomic SX9's, which are fun for a little groomer ski that I picked up at a swap.

Personally, the metron doesn't appeal to me because of the sidecut. It's really not my style of ski, though I know there are people who love them.

I have a new pair of Atomic Sugar Daddys, and so far I like them, but I have only tried them in a few short hikes and skied on maybe 1 ft of snow/powder. I really liked the way they floated.

Last year I demoed the M11 B5 - and I really liked the way these handled the mid atlantic crud, soft snow and moguls. If I could afford to buy another pair of new skis, I would get these.

Up until I got my iM 88s at the end of the season last year, I was skiing on a pair of Atomic R9 Rides, which were all right, but I definitely like other skis better.

Atomics

I've really liked my Atomic C-18s for the groomers, but they are too heavy for the powder or ungroomed conditions.

I just ordered a pair of Sugar Mamas for hard pack days. I demo'd these several times last year in frozen all mountain conditions and they performed very well.

I used to ski the Metron B5, but haven't had a desire to get on an atomic much since. The only other atomic that has intrigued me at all is the Snoop Daddy.

The B11 that you got is a nice ski. I demoed that and enjoyed.

I demoed the M10 (Hated it!!) and the M11:B5 last year (just OK). I guess the Metron series just isn't my style. The only other Atomic I've been on in ages is their GS race ski. I was pleasantly surprised by its combination of guts and forgiveness but my style and attitude just meshed better with the characteristics of the Racetiger giving me cleaner turns and faster times so I bought the Volkl instead (surprise, surprise  ).

Well I live in Atomic Town. The warehouse is a couple of blocks from my house. That said I used to ski on the C-9. I tried the B-5 last year and found it heavy, but very stable. I will be trying some of this years stuff in January and maybe next years too. I have the Sugar Mama's and Foxy Mama's on my list to try. I'll let you know.

I love my new (used) Atomics. I've got R-11s, whatever that means. They have titanium in them, are firm, offer lots of dampness, and allow me to go very fast with long radius turns (the turn radius on these is 16m) without any funny business. By that I mean that these skis do not chatter at high speeds when I am free skiing on hard snow. These skis have been great for me, since they have allowed me to go fast and learn to handle the speed. I am also racing on them in Nastar night league racing, and they do me well.
Now, they are heavy. So what?
They are longitudinally stiff. I am learning to bend them. Good for me. It's tough, but I want to learn to do this.
Also, Atomic bindings are usually, if I understand correctly, nice and adjustable in many ways. Mine are up on a plate (better for initiating turns on hard snow), and they can be positioned forward, middle, or aft as I desire, so that's nice.
I love them. On hard snow. At high speed.
