Hey Divas!

I found this company, aspen_skiandboard on eBay and saw they're selling a bunch of what looks like used demos from this season. They seem to have good feedback ratings, and I've checked out their website too, and they seem legit. The skis I'm looking at (K2 One Luvs) have starting prices significantly lower than the price of new. Of course, you know how it goes, bidding wars can ensue and jack it up; however, before I start bidding, does anyone have any feedback, good or bad, about this company that you can share with me? Feel free to PM me if you'd rather not have your comments public.

I don't have experiance with them, but I just purchased my K2 One Luv 2008 skis <mostly black, not the silver 07's> from
www.o2gearshop.com for 449.99, no tax, no shipping. I had my local shop mount the bindings for $25. They have sizes 153 and 160, I got the 160's.

I'd love em at the starting prices, but it is how you finish that is the key ;)
If it were me, which it isn't -I'd rather pay a little more for new and a warranty.
The other used issue I have is with demo bindings.
Are these bindings demo bindings.?
I have demo apache recons and they are VERY heavy, about 1.4 pounds a piece more than my SO's longer skis.
they are also cool, cause I can lend em to my good friends and it only takes a moment to change the mount.- but for everyday, my legs are getting too tired to make lots o short turns on heavy skis.

I've purchased skis on ebay but only new ones. What gives me pause about demos is that the sellers rarely show you the exact ski you will be receiving - therefore you can never be sure just HOW used/abused the ski can be. If you do decide to go this route (and stay firm with your upper limit bid), make sure there is some kind of return/satisfaction policy and read that feedback with a magnifying glass. Sometimes even the positives can sneak in "fast delivery but more used than I hoped" - this would be a red flag. And keep in mind that it's the edges/bases that are most critical here in terms of condition, not the topsheet. I'm not a big demo binding fan, either.

Hey, thanks everybody for your advice. As I mentioned in a previous thread, I bit the bullet and bought brand-spankin'-new K2 One Luvs from o2gearshop.com (thanks to a diva recommendation!). They're on their way, I can't wait! Doubt I'll get them in time for this weekend (although crossing my fingers) but definitely for next weekend's outing.



You're right, for the price difference and just for peace of mind, it's so worth it to get new. Plus I've never owned new skis before, so it's definitely a treat! This is just my year, lemme tell ya... new job, new skis... how can it possibly get better? Except for some new snow to put them to the test! LOL

I'm so happy for you!!! We just bought the same skis ! that's awesome! Mine are the 160's, and I'm trying them out today <what a great day! TONS of new snow>.

I feel like a mad woman with all the reading and scouring on the web for great deals, and that was the best around!

Your bindings will come in a box, and you'll need to have them mounted. My shop did them for about $25.

I'm thinking of getting the BF a pair of K2 Apache Sabres from that site too, great price on beginner skis!
