Ski Diva Extraordinaire
Attempt #2 at this post...I was a little click happy I guess!
I met up with SnowflakeADK this morning, not sure how the snow would be. 3"+ of heavy wet stuff! While she booted up, I took a run down "Holy Mackeral," the patroller dropped the line just as I was getting off the lift..yeeees, this is going to be a good day : ).
It took me about half of the run to figure out the weighting/unweighting of the skis...totally different than carving down groomers.
So Snowflake and I headed over to the triple chair area which generally has the best trails. We hit first tracks on one of my favorite trails "Midway" and then we were second on "A.O.A", another top run at West. At this point I was having so much fun, hitting little kickers a few times here and there because the snow was soo soft.
It must be noted that SnowflakeADK skiied her first moguls today!
She came down "Coy Dog" right behind me, you would never suspect it was her first trip into the bumps. The moguls were amazing today, the snow fill in nicely so they were like large waves. Very confidence inspiring day!
The quad burn started earlier than I thought it would, probably about 7 or so runs in..it didn't seem like that much work because I was having so much fun, but it was getting a bit choppy in heavy traffic areas. So we decided to call it a day at about 2:00 (started about 10). It was nice to have someone to ride the lift with for a change; I had a great ski day and met up with a diva!
