Divas in Steamboat: Day 5

We had another great day at Steamboat. With 6"of fresh powder, we made sure to be on the lifts for first tracks. What a blast! Eastern skiers just don't get to play in this stuff. So play we did. We even hit a few trails in the trees.

The Junior Olympics were having freestyle competition this week so the resort made extra special terrain for them. Included in the special grooming was a snow cross course. At the end of the day, Lola asked her hubby ,Phil, to try it with her. Even though he had the perfect skis, he was reluctant. Lola whizzed down the course with her hubby behind. She actually got to the bottom first. Way to go, Lola!! And what a great finish to a week of skiing for somebody not yet a year past ACL replacement surgery. What a Diva!

Gosh, that is inspiring! I'm so glad all you Divas are having a great trip. It was too cold and windy for me to justify a day from work this week on Wednesday when I had tentatively planned to ski, so I worked a very long day instead and am saving for a last quiver purchase of the season: a pair of Solomon Scarlets :D Now they would be fun in Steamboat!

Ah . . . the perfect end to a perfect week of skiing. Today, I just followed the pack. After 6+ inches of fresh snow, who cares where we ski. So I spent the day following my fellow skiers around and boy did I have fun!

The sky was bright blue, again.
The weather was warm and wonderful, again.
The snow was soft and spectacular, again.
The company was fabulous and funny, again.

I just couldn't stop smiling! :D

And I ended the day crusing down the snow-cross course with my hubby lagging behind! :D

What more could a diva want?? ~ Lola
