Ski Diva Extraordinaire
Just a quick picture report of our trip to Telluride this past weekend. As Taos pass holders, we get a few comp days at Colorado resorts, and Telluride is on the list. This is a great deal, as lift tix at T-ride are nearly as expensive as Vail.
Last year we went up and shared a condo with another couple. Our skiing levels and interest are very close, so this has worked out well. We decided to share a condo again this year, so we had three great days of skiing and evenings with good food and friends.
And any trip to Telluride wouldn't be complete without a visit with Amy, our very own TellurideSkiBabe! We met up with Amy and her husband Andy on Saturday afternoon for a few turns, and then later for apres ski drinks and dinner. Amy and Andy are great people! Here's all the girls outside the warming hut Saturday.
Left to right: TellurideSkiBabe, Lori_K, JoAnne (soon to be a Ski Diva member!)
We missed out on all the new snow that came in a couple days before we arrived, but what we did get were beautiful bluebird skies every day, and comfortable skiing temps.
Me at the top of "See Forever". Wonder why they call the run that??
Sunday morning, Amy hooked me up with a pair of K2 Obsethed skis to demo. I think hers is the only shop in town with these skis in a 169cm. What a hoot! These are on my super-wide short list now.
Had to go find some powder to try the fats. Joanne and I hiked over to Black Iron Bowl to get some three-day old powder. Good enough!
Here's Joanne near the bottom of BIB. (The drop in point is up where the ski meets the snow!)
A very nice LONG weekend at Telluride-- good friends, good skiing, and good food! I can't wait to ski with everyone again at the Diva Summit!
