I wanted to start a public thread about our 2025 in-person meetups, for anyone who's not yet a member or hasn't posted much. The main threads -- like all threads involving in-person meetups -- can only be seen if you're a registered member with at least 15 posts.

So! Every year we do 2 trips, and this year we're doing these:

Diva West is at Alta & Snowbird, in late January 2025. If you're registered with enough posts, you can see all the threads with all the details here:

Diva East is at Sugarloaf & Saddleback, in early March 2025. All the info is here:

There's a blog post with some general info about Diva Weeks here:

If you've never been to a Diva Week, we really encourage you to come. If you're a newer member and have any general questions, please ask here!

Probably just the Alta/Snowbird trip. I live in the Midwest so the resorts around SLC easiest to access.
Have you skied Alta or Snowbird before?

I took a trip to Michigan last January to experience midwest skiing. Joined in on the 70 Plus Ski Club annual gathering at Nub's Nob. Later that week I happened to be at The Highlands when black terrain was open for the first time after a lake effect storm dropped about 8 inches of powder. Now I understand why people who grow up skiing in the midwest aren't usually as nervous about deep powder as people in the northeast.

I've been skiing Alta the most out west in the last 20 years. I'll be around the first few days of Diva West. Happy to guide folks who don't know Alta the first day or two.

Thanks so much for the offer. Skied Snowbird years ago pre-husband and kids....in a more athletic body LOL. BF at the time was a boarder so no Alta. It's been on my resort bucket list for a while. I've skied all over but I'm still a bit intimidated by deep powder.

Nub's is also on my list to try. I'm in the Chicago area and it's easier to head straight north up into Wisconsin vs. around the other side of the lake to ski.

Thanks for posting this. I've been a lurker member for years now and starting to motivate myself for a solo trip.
I'll be at Diva West and I love meeting up with ski friends, but I also love solo-solo trips. I've done quite a few trips by myself, including some road ones out in the Rockies. It's just a very different vibe. You can't be intimidated by driving in sometimes very sketchy conditions on your own, that's for sure!

I was literally just going to ask if anyone was headed to Alta/Snowbird this year. I booked a few weeks later for Feb 9-14th. Maybe I can swing the Diva West again this year in Jan. But also wanted to put out there that if you are at Alta/Snowbird that week in Feb, would love to meet up to ski. :ski:

Be great if you could join us in late January. The Diva West Roll Call is in the Divas Only Meet On the Hill section. There is a separate list of locals.

You were in Steamboat, right? From Marin County?

I am looking into trying to do both! I think we met at the last one, no? I can't remember everyone's handle...
Wasn't me at Diva West. The schedule for that hasn't matched up given how many ski trips I do these days. But couldn't pass up Alta. Especially since it made getting an Alta Senior Pass a good idea given that I'll ski Alta for about two weeks in April.

Hi I am interested in Alta - Snowbird Trip in late January I am BRAND new to the ski diva world - I love to ski and usually ski with family later in the season; but I would like to add on a solo trip and ski diva sounds like a swell way to connect with other women that care about skiing in a fab place.
Last year ski'd in Alta in early Feb and in Whitefish MT in early March. The year before - a couple of times in Alta as well as a couple of days at Sugarloaf in Maine I live in Boston.
It appears that I need to post in order to get access to the actual trip deets, hence this post
thanks in advance for helping a newbie out!
Perhaps I am supposed to add my ski equipment to provide more perspective? I ski on Parlor Skis - purchased a few years ago and I adore them. my boots are Rossi and due for a change up

Welcome @Ton ton, from another Boston area Diva. Do you have a home hill? There are several Boston area Divas. A few of us just met up at the Snowbound ski expo. And a few of us will be at Diva West. Hope you can join. Do you have any questions about it?

HI @diymom - oh shoot - I was probably one day off in my post from missing some of you at Snowbound ski expo. My home hill used to be Sugarbush, but we sold our place a few years ago and now my sights instead tend to be on a few trips/year out west.
Re Diva West - YES - some questions! If the trip is Jan 25 for a week, does that mean people meet for skiing on Saturday Jan. 25? Do more people tend to stay at Alta or Snowbird and, for those at Alta is there a particular lodge that more people use? I have pretty much stayed at all the Alta lodges, but figure that I should ignore my personal favorites and try to book at the one more Divas might be at. if instead, it is more of a Snowbird centric crew, I will adjust and focus. thanks so much for any input you can offer.

Hey, welcome, really glad you're thinking of coming along to Utah!

This trip (and almost all Diva West trips) "officially" run from Saturday to Saturday, with people traveling on the Saturdays and skiing Sunday - Friday. There are always some people who arrive or leave a few days early / late depending on their schedule, but that's when the most people will be around.

We have some people staying slopeside at both Snowbird and Alta as well as some people staying down the canyon. Sadly I think the Alta slopeside lodging is pretty booked up at this point, but they may have a cancellation list or something?

Once you have 15 posts the main threads about the trip include the dates everyone will be there and where they're staying.
