Diva East 2026: Whiteface Trip Report & Photos

Ventured into Empire this aft. Natural snow single Black Diamond off of Approach that opened up today. Looking down from halfway… that’s @MissySki.

And looking up….some rocks with @bawc and @Matro making their way down. The snow was quite nice. I was not quick enough to catch @elemmac or @jthree.

The photo convinced me to take a ski clinic! Great to ski with you again!

Lake Placid was so cute! What a cool little town, and the whole area is so gorgeous. My gf & I took a day to do Olympic stuff and that was also great. Managed to catch some luge practice on the bobsled track at Mt Van Hoevenberg, went up the ski jumps at the Ski Jumping Complex, and hit the museum. It would have been nuts to catch some ski jumping in person but no luck there. Those big jumps are BIG.

Legit would be scared to straightline down this thing, never mind flying off the end.


By pure luck we caught a bunch of maybe older tweens from various levels of the national team practicing luge. Very cool to see in person!


And the icy ferry ride across Lake Champlain on the way back to the airport. Thanks again for the airport rides, @jthree!

Almost… @teppaz is dark jacket, red pants, pink boots next to @gourmetJo in the last photo. Mr Jo is not in that photo.
It is @SmuggsSkier next to @ski diva in the photo above that. Mr SkiDiva red jacket is mostly hidden.
