Did you ski anywhere new this year (06-07)?

I skied three areas I hadn't skied before. In Vermont: Burke & Jay. In NH, Sunapee.

Burke was nice: very old school with narrow, winding trails that follow the contour of the mountain. I was there twice and conditions weren't great either time, so I don't feel that I got the complete "Burke" experience. I'd love to ski it in better snow.

Jay was terrific. I'd go back there again any time. Of course, we had forty inches of powder that weekend, so that colors things considerably. Even still, the trails are great, and the tree skiing is terrific.

Sunapee is like a little Okemo. A well run, well maintained area with terrific views from the top. Lots of groomers where you can just let 'er rip. A fun place to spend the day.

What about you?

I skied at a local (w/in 1 1/2 hours of D.C.) area I had never been to before - Ski Liberty. It's a small hill, not very difficult - but it's the closest to D.C.

I also skied at Crested Butte this year for the first time (3/29-4/5). The snow conditions weren't very good. Lots of warm days and lower than average snowfall made coverage poor and many runs were closed We had a good time anyway and I'd like to go back sometime and ski those areas that were closed.

I went from a Never ski outside of Michigan Girl, to skiing at Stowe in Vermont during marginal beginning of the season conditions, which was totally awesome because I met and skied with several divas and bears.
Then I went back to Vermont to ski at Okemo and Killington over April fools weekend to ski with Divas and Bears again.
:D

Now that I've gotten out of Michigan to ski, I'll be venturing out west as soon as I can get my husband realize he can take a vacation without the world collapsing.

New ski areas for me were Chamonix (ok not new, but haven't skied there since I was 7 and I can't remember then, so sort of new), Verbier, Saas Fee, Three Valleys, La Rosiere and Zugspitze (all actually new to me). And lots of off piste stuff that I hadn't done before but in resorts I knew. Wicked.

No. I just ski where I have a season pass. That probably sounds boring, but it's not too bad. Each day is different.

Iski, that doesn't sound boring at all.
It sounds economical and fun. There really isn't such a thing as a bad boring day skiing if you're with friends and family with sun on your face and snow under your skis.

I skied Smuggler's Notch for the first time, and while conditions weren't great (it was between the March and April storms), I loved the resort and the trails. The tree runs look especially inviting and not too steep.

Otherwise I went on new trails at my local hill with my kids (Berkshire East in Charlemont, MA), Stratton in Southern VT (my mid-week destination), and at Big Sky, MT (steeps, bumps, powder, yowie). I can hardly wait until next season but am trying to enjoy this wonderful weather (I know that sounds weird, but hopefully you Divas will understand!).:D

Les Deux Alpes and Val d'Isere were our new places this year. Will almost certainly be going back to LDA for the Snowheads PSB again; Val was perfectly OK but didn't tug the heartstrings so won't be rushing to go back there

No new resorts last season. Explored lots of trails that were new to me this year though (great!). More of the same planned for next year although I am hoping to be able to make it to Colorado/Utah some time next winter!

We skied out favorites this year: Vail, Steamboat, Snowmass. We missed Vail & Steamboat the prio seaon due to a Utah & Tahoe road trip.
Can I count Keystone as new since we hadn't been there since 1996 & 1986 before that?
