I'm definitely going to demo some new equipment this year, whether it's at a demo day or not. Some mountains offer demo rates for the equipmet they stock at their ski shops. Just something to keep in mind.

Thanks for the Snowshoe info ArmyWife. We live about 3 1/2 hours away (outside D.C.) If the weather is good - and kids don't have school stuff - we might go. I have some skis I want to demo and that's the earliest date around here.

Demo dates at Loveland Ski Area (CO):

Nov. 11: Christy Sports Demo Day. Pre-register at any Front Range Christy Sports to try all of this season's newest gear.

Nov. 12: Never Summer visits Loveland with their 06-07 line for you to demo for free.

Nov. 18 & 19: Colorado Ski and Golf visits Loveland with all the newest gear for you to demo.

I believe Bristol Mt. in New York State has a yurt at the top of their mountain that is a demo center. It is open all season, and anyone can demo the skis. They have a nice selection.

Yes, Bristol is great for demoing skis. (The hill is pretty mediocre otherwise). The demo is reasonably priced, and you can demo as many skis as you want during that time. Unfortunately, demoing usually leads to increased credit card debt shortly thereafter... :p

Just found this for December 9-10:

Snowshoe, WV - West Virginia's Snowshoe ski and snowboard resort has scheduled its Demo Days Winter Celebration Weekend for this Saturday and Sunday. Snowmaking crews are working hard to expand the resort's open terrain in time for two days of free equipment demos from many top ski and snowboard manufacturers along with a Saturday night fireworks display and plenty of live entertainment.

At Smugglers Notch, every Tuesday is Demo Day. You can demo the latest skis all day long for $19.95. Visit 3 Mountain Equipment for more details.

Also, at Stratton (VT), First Run Ski Shop in the base village is offering the following Demo Dates:
December 22nd: Rossignol Demo Day
December 28th: Dynastar Demo Day
January 5th: K2 Demo Day

Waterville Valley (NH) is having a demo day on December 16. The resort expects representatives from Rossignol, Atomic, Volkl, Marker, Salomon, Head, Dynastar and more. There's no charge to demo equipment if you have a lift ticket or Threedom pass, but you'll need a valid license and credit card and your own ski or snowboard boots. Registration runs from 8:30-1:30 in the base lodge.

What company will be at Tremblant this weekend? If it's worth it, I might go Sat or Sunday.

Anybody and everybody. This weekend is not associated with any one of the shops up there. Major brands for sure. Rossi, Elan, Salomon, K2, Dynstar, Fisher, Atomic and maybe Head. Let me know it you're heading up. We'll meet up for sure. And we'll find you a helmet!! Check out ladies types. I've had more people ask me about my Salomon with the furry ears!!

Montana's Big Mountain Resort and local mountain shops will offer skiing and snowboarding guests the chance to participate in “Valley Demo Days” this Saturday and Sunday. Guests can try any number of ski and snowboard equipment models at no charge depending on availability.
