So, I was at my LBS this week and the owner suggested I do a group ride with the club the shop sponsors. This morning, there was supposed to be a C ride (30 miles, at 15-17 mph avg) and a B ride (40 miles, at 17-19 MPH avg). I got there and it turns out there are no C riders; haven't been any all summer. So, I joined the B ride; 8 men and me. 39 miles, very, very hilly. I held my own, learned how to draft, and finished with the group. All I could think of when the going got tough was "WWDD (what would Dara do)?" I wish I had her massage therapists right now.
