Cypress Mountain Question

Has anyone skied here and recommend it? We are thinking about taking a ski trip there because we can ski free with our season passes and want a change from the usual. But don't want to waste a drive if it isn't worth it. What do you think?

If you mean cypress mountain in north vancouver canada. It is the only of my local mountains I have skiied (I just started). I quite like this mountain and so do my friends. It can get some junky snow at the bottom if it has been skiied on all day and you are skiing at night but for the most part I hear that actually wasnt normal. So that is my opinion. I like it and so do many others and I dont see why you shouldnt go try it out.

Go for sure!

Most people think that all the Olympic ski events are being held at Whistler in 2010. Cypress Mountain will host all the Snowboard events as well as freestyle skiing. I heard they have made some really great improvements, but unfortunately, I have not been there.

Have a great time!

They have expanded it and have a bunch of new runs. I have been going at night and the 2 blue runs in that section arent lit at the moment so I havent been on them but I really like that mountain.

This is my local mountain to which I have a season pass. Compared to our other 2 mountains this one is the best. But you've got to think of what you're comparing it to. Whistler? It doesn't compare. A tiny small local mountain? This is probably much better.

All in all it's worth a trip of I'd say no more than a 3 hour drive. Don't come if it's further than that if you're JUST coming for that.

It's a decent size and has a little something for everyone. Though not much at all if you're advanced to expert- there is nothing all that challenging on that mountain.
