Got a list?
(No, not a holiday list!)
Ever make a list of all the ski areas you've visited?
(Come on, admit it.....)
I just found one on my external hard drive.
It needed updating.
Good grief!
46! :eek::D

Some small, some huge.
ALL fun!
And DH's goes 12 past mine (due to international business travel with previous job)

Got one in particular that's way unusual?
(hint: 3 feet at Snowbird wouldn't count as particularly unusual!)

I think my list is up to 53 or 54. I have DH and my lists on a spread sheet according to state--some of you won't be shocked by that admission!

I'm a list keeper for lots of things -- it appeals to my inner nerd. Several years ago I made my ski area list and realized it was a few more than years I had been alive. I now make my friends play a silly game which is to always have more mountains skied than years on the planet! Since I'm in my 40s, I figure these are my peak adding years. I'm now up to 57 with at least 3 new ones planned for this year.

CA - Alpine Meadows, Donner Ski Ranch, Northstar, Squaw, Sugarbowl
CO - Breckenridge, Copper, Keystone, Vail, WinterPark, Steamboat
MA - Wachusett
ME - Sunday River, Sugarloaf, Shawnee, Saddleback, Mt Abram
NV - Heavenly
NH - Attitash, Gunstock, Sunapee, Black, Cannon, Cranmore, Crotched, Loon, Ragged, Waterville
NJ - Craigmeur, Mountain Creek, Hidden Valley
NY - Mt Peter, Belleayre
PA - Shawnee
UT - Alta, Snowbird, Canyons
VT - Mt Snow, Okemo, Bromley, Stratton, Haystack, Pico, Killington, Suicide 6, Middlebury, Stowe, Sugarbush, Burke, Ascutney
Canada - Mt Tremblant
Austria - Kitzsteinhorn, Kaprun, St Anton
France - Morzine, Les Gets

New mountains planned this season: Smugglers Notch, Bolton Valley, Magic

Of course mine are tallied in a spreadsheet! Not sure I could live without spreadsheets. My latest version lists the mountains down one side and the years across the top so I can see when and how many times I've actually been to each. Yes, some days I do have too much time on my hands!

Hmm, lessee... only been doing this for about 3 years so probably not too many.

PA: Blue, Spring, Bear Creek, Elk, Sno, Big Boulder, Jack Frost, Roundtop, Mt. Nittany
VT: Okemo, Stratton, Jay
Quebec: Mont Sutton
CO: Breckenridge, Keystone, Vail, Beaver Creek, A-Basin

So that's 18 total, but I've been to Jay on at least 4 seperate occasions because every time I'm in VT that's the only place I wanna go!

Hopefully this year we're gonna hit alot of the other NE places. Next week I'll hit Sugarloaf, Maine, and then over Christmas and throughout the winter we're gonna check off Stowe, Smuggs, MRG and Gore in NY.

You guys have me WAY beat, but now I'm curious so I'm writing out my list:

WA: Crystal
OR: Bachelor, Timberline, Meadows, Ski Bowl
UT: Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, Canyons, Deer Valley, Powder Mtn, Snowbasin
ID: Grand Targhee

To be added this year: Whistler + Mt. Baker

13 now with 2 more booked to go to.... wow. I had no idea I'd skied so many places.

I've never made a list, but ever since I started skiing at 14, I've made a point of buying a patch everywhere I've skied. I keep them in a display frame displayed in the order I skied there... Kind of cool - one of those things I'm really glad I bothered to keep up with all these years

DSC09438.jpg

So it looks like 33. I have pretty much outgrown my frame and will definitely be adding 2 or 3 more this season.

Ya'll need to come ski the Northwest. I'm entirely serious. It's fabulous, and you'll be more well rounded!
