Mountain High Resort in Southern California is sponsoring a season pass giveaway, just for us Ski Divas!

This is a $349. value; that’s the price of a regular season pass, though for the month of November, Divas can purchase a pass for $299. using coupon code “skidiva." Go here if you want to buy one.

Located just 75 minutes from Los Angeles and Orange County, Mountain High is actually three resorts in one, offering a wide variety of lifts and trails for all levels of skiers. It’s also the only local area with night skiing 7 nights a week.

Here’s a trail map:

Entering is simple. Just go to the Mountain High web site, learn ONE FACT about Mountain High Resort, and post it in this thread. That’s it. Easy peasy.

We’ll take entries here until noon (Eastern Time) on November 15, and the winner will be randomly selected later that day.

Good luck!

Mountain High is part of the Powder Alliance so a season pass actually provides access to 3 free lift tickets at 11 other resorts - including Snowbasin, Stevens, Schweitzer, Timberline, and Crested Butte. This contest will benefit any Divas attending Diva West.

Mountain High Fact: Vertical Rise of 1600 feet, 290 skiable acres, 132 inches of average annual snowfall.

Fact: Mountain High has a deal for divas who want to learn to snowboard. For $135, Women's Beginner Clinics on scheduled Tuesdays and Sunday offer
Small classes, female instructor, individual help with equipment, and teaching tailored to women's learning styles make your first day on a snowboard hassle-free.

Sounds like a good way to start off.

Sometime around 1931, after Mountain High built a new ski jump, Alf Engen (who happens to have founded Alta) set a new world record by jumping an amazing 243 feet!

The Mountain High virtual snow simulator is a terrific way to learn basics as a beginner or hone skills to make you more of an expert. The surface is easier to learn on and "rougher terrain" can be mastered by changing bad habits into good ones. It's a patented training tool that looks like it should be a lot of fun to utilize. Your 1 year old can learn to ski; your 2 year old can lea to ride. Awesome.

The top elevation is 8,200 feet, which is comparable to the Big Bear resorts. And I'd love to win a free pass!
