I started to post this in a new thread but since you've started one, I'll join in on the fun!!!
As many of you may know, Jon Clinch, our very own Mr SkiDiva has accomplished a great thing. He wrote a book, with his passion, had it published by Random House, and has spent the past 1 1/2 years on book tours and literary events, giving him the accolades he, so richly, deserves.
He received, yet another award, on May 21st!!!
I'm sure SkiDiva is trying to be humble and wishes to avoid Finn overload on TheSkiDiva.com, but I'm of the belief that Jon has done something that most can only dream of, and its a huge thing that he continues to be recognized by the literary world.
Kudos to Jon! Let me repeat.........

For those who may be new to SkiDiva and are not in the loop, you can do a search of Finn in this Miscellaneous Discussions area, but to help, it all started here > We have cover art!

Here are a few teaser threads>>>

Thanks for the congratulations, ladies. Consider them passed on.

It's true I'm afraid of Finn overload on the forum. I don't want to be thought of as tooting my own (well, not mine exactly -- Mr. Ski Diva's) horn. But I am very proud of him.

The award ceremony and reception in Philadelphia were terrific. We walked in expecting there to be about 6 people, and instead there were easily 200. Jon read some excerpts from his book and spoke and answered questions, and afterwards there was a very nice party.

A new book is coming; he just finished it and it's in the hands of his editor, who hasn't had a chance to look at it yet. So we don't know when it'll be out. Usually there's a year-long lead time, so it'll be a while.

Again, thanks to all for your kind words.

Congratulations

Way cool, I'm so happy for both of you (because behind every Mr. Ski Diva is a dedicated Ski Diva). This is a unique and extraordinary accomplishment and opens doors to greater things :clap::clap:

And I met Jon at Solitude!!!!!!! Didn't Finn fill out a NSSA survey? Hmmmmmm. :D:D:D:D

Now that school is winding down and I have time for pleasure reading, I have Finn on hold at the Library. Can't wait to add it to my summer reading! SkiDad has always dreamed of writing a book, did some short stories in College (that I thought were good!)...then life got in the way..."real" job, kids, etc...perhaps some day!

Congrats on success to both Mr. Ski Diva and Ski Diva.

Congrats to Mr. Ski Diva! I finished reading Finn a few weeks ago. It has been some time since I read HF, so Finn had to stand all on its own. It did not disappoint! I look forward to the next one : )

I know I'm late on congratulating Mr. SkiDiva, but I've been purposely avoiding any thread Finn related since I didn't want to risk reading spoilers!!! But, as of last weekend, I've finished the book. I loved every minute of it. The sequencing took some getting used to, but once I understood the flow of the book the story felt as though it was moving perfectly. And now, I'd like to go back and re-read Huckleberry Finn just to refresh my memory of the other storyline.

I'm honored to have skied with the man who wrote this fantastic book ... definitely a first for me! Thank you for the great story.

Finn was the first book I read this summer as well. A very enjoyable read I might add. Usually when I pick up a book if it doesn't grab me right away I don't get very far. This one had me right out of the gate.

Thanks Jon!
