Per the website, it is an "additional one time fee in addtion to the normal regitration fees".
My "SkiRN" will look fabulous on the new plates!
I have been contemplating getting the 10th Mountain Division plates, but prefer the Colorado Ski plates...if they get added.
The problem is that Colorado has >100 specialized plates and our police officers are getting tired of them. So, we'll have to see if it actually goes through.

I realized the other day that they discontinued the classic Ski Utah! license plate and it bums me out. The new one isn't nearly as retro-cool as the old.

Yeah, I don't really like the new one either.
Heh, plus the proposed CO skiing plate looks pretty similar to the new UT ones, just a different color.

I'm actually really digging the new Utah plates ... The skier is Heidi Volker. And I like how they tied the "red rocks" color in with the skiing/snow/mountains part of Utah. I'm pretty sure I'm going to pay the $10 and have my retro Ski Utah! plates changed out. I'm on the bandwagon

Okay, I KNOW this means nothing, it's NASTAR, I'm not a racer, I'm not anywhere close to the ability of these other skiers, etc etc, but it was kinda cool to qualify for their division.
Of course, now that I hit a Platinum, I have to retire from my very brief racing career. I've peaked.
