Cocoons?

I was wondering whether any of you glasses-wearing Divas had heard of, or were wearing Cocoons. They're sun glasses that fit over your regular eyeglasses.

I bought a pair for my very near-sighted husband two years ago, and he liked his so much, I bought some for myself last year. We had considered getting prescription goggles, but we thought since Cocoons only cost about $30, we'd try those first.

Mine are quite small and streamlined, and they wrap around a bit to give you full UV/wind protection. I find they've made a huge difference in my comfort level, especially when it's very cold and windy. You can also choose from different lens colors. Mine are polarized, and give me excellent visibility when the light is flat.

Another good thing is they don't look weird at all, because they lie quite close to your face.

Cyn, do you wear the cocoons instead of goggles? I've never heard of them, but sounds like something I should be looking into. Where would I look for them? I love this forum- you've all got me geeked to get back into skiing!

Yes, I wear them instead of goggles. They are more comfortable, and they don't fog up as much. The best part is, I can actually see clearly, because I've got my regular glasses underneath! I do wear a leash, though, to keep them snug on my head.

I looked up the Cocoons web site. Here's the link:

Thanks Cyn. I emailed Cocoons, and they sent me three local dealers. I'll definitely be checking these out.
