Clearing unwanted quotes

Let's say I insert quotes from posts into the reply box and then decide not to post a reply to that thread. From then on, all such quotes I've inserted and abandoned during that session appear in the reply box for every thread I read.

Is there a way to discard a draft so that the quotes don't follow me everywhere? It's obviously not a terrible problem, just an annoyance, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Hmmmm....have you tried deleting them? That might do the trick.

Yes, but they seem to keep coming back unless I submit a post. I'll play with it again when I'm on my desktop.

I think they might disappear after a couple of days, but I never remember to actually keep checking, it's just something I've half-noticed.
