I read something about skiing in Lesotho, of all places, so I looked it up. Check out this aerial photo of their...ahem....ski run. Must be man made snow pushed up into a little run. Funny! 
I looked thru the whole site, and mostly it looks like there is either NO snow around the run, or at best, just a bit of powder cover. So they must make the snow and pile it onto the run. Yikes!
Of course, as we all know, some kind of skiing is better than no skiing, right? And I won't ever complain about lack of snow here in Calif!
