changing jackets, switching lift tickets

What do you do if you have a multi day lift ticket and you have to switch jackets because it gets warmer or colder? I can't bring both jackets to the mountain to do the changeover at the ticket booth there, because I have to take a shuttle to the lift.

Any ideas on how to switch the ticket to another jacket?

I know there's probably a really simple solution that I haven't thought of
and I'll feel like I've asked the dumbest question ever, but I still need to know!

I wear my passes on a lanyard. I've seen some do this with lift tickets as well. Otherwise, you can carry a set of little nail clippers and clip off the plastic thingy and get a new plastic thingy and put it on the new jacket.

Good luck!

I just use a key chain loop. I can take it on and off any coat. I just loop it to a side pocket with a zipper.

Whoops, guess I'm a little late with that one. But it works for skigirl!

I wear tickets on my pants when I have to use them. For the kids on race days we put them on their boot buckle or the bracket on their helmet for their goggles.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I guess I was worried that they'd get all anal about a key chain ring or cutting the plastic thing, because they always go on about how tickets are non-transferable.
I use a lanyard or arm band for my season's pass. but this will be paper, and most likely attached with a plastic tie.

I'll be changing my ski pants too, so leaving it on one pair isn't an option.

The only thing I'll have on the entire time is my helmet, but a ticket up there would drive me nuts.

I use a small carbinger and skip the nylon tie. If you still have a wicket just conect it with the carbinger.

The ticket office at most mountains will help you move a lift ticket to another jacket or pants.
Good suggestion!

They get anal about that with good reason. I work in loss prevention at a ski hill and it's my job to be sure people aren't sharing passes. Sharing passes is theft of services and a very serious situation as it affects the bottom line for all of us. If somebody came through my line with a day pass on a split key ring, I would consider it suspicious and probably refer them to my superiors.

Putting a ticket on a helmet, boot, or glove is also considered a no-no. They're supposed to be put on something that isn't easily transferred (again, to prevent theft of services).

Guest services/ticket booth should be able to help you with switching your ticket over, if necessary.

I definately see your point, they wouldn't allow it at alot of smaller areas, but it appears that you can do this at some of the larger ones, which is good to know. I always wear mine on my pants though.

Yep...that's what I use.

Even tho' plastic zip ties look single use, they can actually be used multiple times so you don't have to carry a pocket full for occasions such as this. First time it's used, only zip it up one or two notches. For the second, and subsequent times, cut the tie adjacent to the little rectangular ring on the loop side and pull out the pointed end, then you can put the cut end thru the rectangular ring again to form a new loop. When I travel, and would have multi-day passes, I always make sure I have one in my boot bag, plus a few more for everybody else I ski with. Nice, cheap, light, no fuss.

What's a carbinger?

Err, in my daylight saving time brain, I though it said "carabiner".

I buy mini ones @ REI (in the keychain section) that I use to move my passes from jacket to jacket.
