This thread totally inspired me to sign up for a Level 1 certification course, taking place at my local mountain in 2 weeks! I'm a bit nervous about the conditions, as we've already started getting quite icy and have had a couple of melts. But I guess that's probably good to be tested on as well, if I'm going to be giving lessons! Looking forward to improving my own skiing as a result of this. Keen to start teaching kids as of next season as a "side hustle" - and an excuse to be on the slopes more often.

CSIA L1 isn't done on expert terrain. I doubt you'll even get off chair 2.

I think when I was at Sutton late last March there was a certification course on. I seem to remember black suits and thinking, I need to be on my best technique. Although I don't know too many of the L4's (or L3's with the extra cert) down that way. I think I would recognize Fred Lepine maybe. I know more of the Laurentian and Ontario crew.

I've been reading the documents that I had to download, but didn't see any online modules to do. Am I missing something? I'll give them a call tomorrow

There used to be an online segement, but looks like they've deleted it. Most likely nobody did it. Or you'll get a link when you register if it's still there.
