Catamount/Berkshire East 2019-2020

Since Catamount and Berkshire East are 'sisters' now I thought I'd combine a thread for them.

I made it up to Catamount for the first time this season on Monday 12/23 and the mountain is in very good shape. The new intermediate trail Shawenon and advanced trail Marty's Run are a lot of fun. No double diamonds open yet, but the two new ones, Christopher's Leap and Ripper look truly frightening to this intermediate so I'm sure more advanced skiers will love them. I skied all day and the snow was good the entire time. Nothing skied off, no icy patches. The Schaefer's have done a great job with the improvements there. I think it's definitely worth checking out, especially with uncrowded trails. I hope they don't lose too much snow with the storm and warmer temperatures. I haven't checked out Berkshire East yet but hope to soon.

Catamount used to have a Mon-Thurs $20 lift ticket, but I don’t see it on their website this year. I’m wondering if it was phased out due to the merger with Berkshire East. Anyone know if this deal is coming back this year?

It looks like that deal may be gone but if you go to the lift ticket area of their site and choose midweek, you can get discounted tickets. I saw a range from $18-$27 and it seems like they have set quantities and will tell you how many they have left at that price, similar to Liftopia.
