Wow, there are a lot of members logged in at 4am my time...it's one of those brutal nights where I need sleep but have a lot on my mind so can't get my brain to turn off! ARGH! :noidea: I will go try again. G'nite.

Argh, I hate those nights. I've had a bunch of them lately but as another astute Diva said I "took out the trash" today so that worry (read now ex-DBF) is gone. :o I hope you get some sleep soon!

I always have a hard time sleeping. Benedryl is really helpful (and non addictive!) Sweet Dreams........

Ugh. Hate it when this happens! I had a restless night last night - not looking forward to a call I needed to make today and nervous I'd wake up and find a litter of baby mice in my shoe (or worse).

Oh! This was the call that I had to make today (and I did, an hour ago, oh and he never graduated to DBF status!). Figured it was better than doing it on April Fool's Day....

SkiGap, hope you wind up able to turn off the brain!

Got a *little* sleep (+ longer season + pics of GAP)

SkiGap, hope you wind up able to turn off the brain!

Thanks Ladies - I was finally able to get a couple of hours in. But now I am hurting!

Good news is, GAP (Garmisch-Partenkirchen) decided to stay open one week longer, so I'll be on my "home" slopes again this coming Saturday and Sunday! :ski2:

Oh, I made a quickie website for my instructor so that he can download a few of the pics I've taken of him (and GAP) over the season - in the picture of the two of us, neither of us look great for some reason but whatever. The site is not at all optimized so it might be kind of slow, but if any of YOU can't sleep and are bored...

Ooooohhhh, this is so me. I have never been a sleeper. For most of my life I've had a hard time falling asleep. Now my problem is getting up waaaay too early. Plus I wake up alot in the middle of the night. I envy people who can sleep, sleep, sleep. It's a gift.

Ahh I'm another victim. I can not sleep past 5am no matter what...go to bed at 10 wake at 4:30-5, go to bed a midnight, wake at 4:30-5 ahhhhhhh! Frustrating, especially considering someone else in the house can sleep whenever, where ever and as long as he wants.
It should be noted, I did not have this issue until I started running my senior year in HS. Could it have something to do with our athletic activities then...? I think it did for me anyways.
Not being able to fall asleep is extremely frustrating, which you guys know makes it even harder to do so!

I've always been a poor sleeper -- on either end. And I've been an early riser all my life. Just lately the earlier is getting earlier, if you know what I mean. Could be old age.....but before, was it young age???? Hmmmmm.

Wow - it's an epidemic! Often I can fall asleep, but I am a light sleeper. Once I wake up, I can't then get *back* to sleep. Brutal. Ah well. I am high right now on caramel popcorn but I'll hit a "sugar low" soon. Thanks for the support, Divas!

Weird...the past 2 nights I awoke in the middle of the night (around 2 or 3AM) and couldn't get back to sleep. So I am not the only one. I just didn't log on the computer...hurts my eyes late at night. It's not that I'm NOT tired...I've been exhausted lately.

I've found that taking melatonin helps (found in the vitamin aisle) , or 4 Motrins, or just a glass of warm milk. Hope everybody sleeps better tonight.

I've always been a bit of a night owl....never can get to sleep early. But the last 5 or 6 years, I've noticed that if I go to sleep and for some reason wake up middle of the night, it's very hard to get back to sleep. And there are occasionally nights where I simply cannot get to sleep, although I may end up dozing off around 4 or so. Very annoying, and I haven't found a solution. However, I seem to function OK on less sleep, so I'm not going to worry about it.

I think women are lighter sleepers than men. My husband NEVER has a problem, he sleeps like a log, can wake up and go back to sleep, can sleep a lotta hours. Totally opposite to me!
