Help Needed: Can't adjust binding to a smaller boot sole length, is this okay?

Hi all, I have very small feet and recently downsized my boot. My new boot has a BSL of 263mm. I am trying to adjust the Look Xpress 10 bindings to fit this boot and I have adjusted it to the smallest setting (see image). Here the front is at 261 and the back is between 261/267. With this adjustment when I put my boot in everything clicks nicely but the forward pressure indicator is not exactly in the middle. It looks like the yellow part covers maybe 80-85% and then there is a 15-20% gap. The problem is that in the instruction manual (https://www.ajmotionsports.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/LOOK-BINDING-TECH-MANUAL-2020-21_WEB.pdf) it says on page 18:
Confirm forward pressure is correct by checking that the yellow indicator is in the front half of the window

The yellow indicator is not covering half, ie. 50% of the window. Is this an issue? Do I need new bindings?

Can you move the binding up to the 261 line in the back? And will your boot fit when you do?
Hi, upon looking at from the top (instead of slightly in front as in the picture I posted) it seems it is on the 261 line.

That's where it should be for a 263 boot sole. To be sure, you can see if you can lift the lever, slide it in more and have it actually click into place (it won't be secure if you go too far).

One of the problems with system bindings is that you're never going to get it "perfect", unless you happen to have one of the boot sole lengths that they list. I know my skis with system bindings have been slightly off of the recommended, and they've been fine.

However, it might be worth a trip to a shop to get them release tested, just for a piece of mind.

It seems like I could slide it more and it seems to stay in place but there is no click.

"Click" might have been poor word-choice there on my part. I believe the Xpress has a lever that you push up to release the binding and allows it to slide on the track? The lever should close and lock the binding in place.

If its secure in that position...try your boot and see where the forward pressure is on the indicator. From there...choose the "better" (closer to half yellow) of the two positions that you've tried.

When I slide it to the defined numbers I hear a click. But when I slide it past that there is no click although it does feel secure in the position. I am able to get the yellow indicator to be right in the middle if I slide it past the numbers. Just not sure how safe it is.
